We are now in Seattle, spending some time on business and pleasure- truly a delight. Above is a gorgeous view from the plane; you can actually see snow blowing off the top of the mountain, too. Very pretty.

So, a visit to Seattle to me also means a must visit to Pike's Place! The oh so famous fish market is even greater in person- too delicious also- sooooo yummy, wow the size of some of those beauties.

Soooo, we are having an absolute great time here. They even let me go behind the counter- too cool. They are all very nice and you can tell they have fun doing what they do.

Yellow Frilly Fashion Look

I love the delightful look and feel of a soft yellow- it is such a cheerful color and I do love to wear it. Add a little delicate texture and it is even greater.

I felt like being girlie and playful with a bit of cheer, and yellow always performs so well- so I matched up this fun frilly scarf with a simple yellow skirt of the same shade.

It is a subtle match but it does so much that way- for such a soft color it makes a bold and loud statement. It is impossible to not smile wearing it as well, which makes me love it even more.

The color itself is a very spring look, but when combined with the black I think it can pull of the winter look just fine- you are seeing more pastels come out as it is. I say if you love it and you are feeling it- then wear it. That is what counts after all.

A Very Special Memory And Tribute

Here he is, Mr. Jake- the sweetest sleep in your lap kitty I know, unless of course you happen to be one of my other kitties- in which case he is the cat that beats you up, lol.

This is my fiance's tough little guy, named Jake (brother to Elwood, also a fond and great memory). At the age of seventeen, upon meeting my two young cats, he promptly smacked them in the head letting them know who is indeed the boss. He loved to remind them every chance he got, the bully. But he loved it. He loved being in charge and then relaxing on our laps. What a character.

About a year ago we discovered a lump that we chose to have removed, it was quite the procedure and he recovered very well- in fact, so well that upon coming home the first day, cast/bandage and all, he smacked the kitties as good as ever. It is his favorite game, seriously a tough guy! But also the sweetest mellow guy.

This afternoon we had to put Mr Jake to sleep as the tumor has returned and has become incredibly large distracting to his quality of life; I think we did this just in time so never had to endure the hardships and damages of the tumor- it would get to terrible and I would never allow a creature to have to endure that. He is one lucky cat, his best buddy- my fiance, gave him an incredible life I am very proud of for both of them.

So even though we had to say goodbye this afternoon, we are fortunate to have more wonderful memories and happy thoughts than having to ever had endure a kitty in deep pain (a kitty going in pain is something that should never have to happen). He is a lucky kitty and am sure he is more than anxious to thump more kitties than he can imagine- all in good fun of course. There will be a nice warm lap to keep him cozy as well. He's a good kitty.

He will never be forgotten either, he is still around in memory and that is a beautiful and happy thing :) Thank you, Jake- we love you!

Alexander McQueen And Target Love

A man of design genius, the name alone makes my heart anxious. I adore the designs, the creativity, the feminine fantasies concocted by Alexander McQueen. Absolutely beautiful and heavenly.

So when I heard that he is to participate with a collection for the International line at TARGET, you can imagine my excitement- wow!

I don't know if I can handle waiting, though I suppose I do not have the choice. Simply, I am pleased to know I will have a choice to purchase his designs and the oh so wonderful TARGET store! Yet another reason to love that place.

I haven't seen any of the designs for this venture just yet, though I do believe a skinny jean is involved- yum, I know whatever he will do will be fantastic. I am looking for some beautiful sleeves and dreamy dresses. In the mean time I felt it appropriate to bask in some of his other more luxurious designs.

Oh how much do I love these designs- they are gorgeous! So dreamy and luxurious! I cannot wait until the TARGET line is officially revealed and available, you can be certain I will be there early and ready. More to come soon on this gem of a discovery.

Marvelous Margarita Perfection

Yum! So the other day we had an unexpected and delightful brunch with some friends. It kind of came together at the last minute but worked out beautifully.

It was such a gorgeous day- sunny with a nice cool breeze, the kind of weather you dream about, and we enjoyed ourselves sitting outside on the patio. We kept seeing tables nearby order these delicious looking drinks and so we could not help but also indulge. When we saw the description about it on the menu as part of a review, we were instantly sold.

"The perfect blend with the perfect ingredients, Herradura Silver, Cointreau & fresh lime juice, served straight up, or on the rocks."

Within one taste we were in love and ordered more for the table. The balance with the lime was just perfect, especially for an early afternoon drink. It made the day even more pleasant.

They call it "The Perfect" and it is perfectly delightful. No nonsense, just yummy.

Izze, A Yummy Little Drink

I have seen the name and brightly colored box for some time now, but always avoided it thinking it to be one of the many energy drinks. After all, the can size matches them and even with its bright colors it blends in with the others.

Now I know, though! While grocery shopping, I noticed them with their own little side display and picked it up when I saw the "Clementine" flavor. It caught my curiosity, and I wanted to see what it was all about.

Looking at the ingredients, I was pleasantly surprised and had to give it a try- I love it! It is so refreshing and absolutely delicious. Not to mention it is the perfect size- not too much, just a great taste.

We have since tried three other flavors from them and continue to look for more. So far the sparkling grapefruit is probably my favorite, and the sparkling clementine a close second.

I am curious to try the apple and blueberry next! I have been very pleased with all of them so far. What a delightfully unexpected treat!

On another note- I bet it would taste GREAT mixed with vodka, especially the sparkling grapefruit. Will be trying that sometime soon, too! This could definitely lead to some great cocktails. Yummy.

Little Miss Aveline

It was only a matter of time before I introduced her, and so here she is: little miss Aveline. Wherever there are new shoes to be found, a new purse or other fashion accessory, even a new shopping bag- there you will find her.

Ever since she was a teeny tiny kitten, she has loved all things fashion (actually making my hat box into her bed, mushed hat included). Watching me do my make up with the brushes is something she has always loved, it is her favorite thing to do in the morning still to this day.

She is my little girl with the spotted belly and I call her Aveline. Very cat like, unlike her brother Ulric- she never knocks over anything- no matter how crowded a bookshelf may be, and is so quiet and quick you may never even see her. When her brother tries to mimic her moves, he knocks over items in the other room- not even close to her grace, though I still love him, too.

Kitties can be funny, and these two are constantly entertaining and keeping me happy. They know when a snuggle is in order or when to play, and they are always there in times of need. You've met Ulric in a previous post, now you have met my little Aveline as well.

She likes to nap with her little stuffed puppy toy, funny little thing.

She does love her belly rubs, as well. Such a cutie.

Wii Fit Glamorous Discovery

I first bought the wii when it originally came out- somehow without any waiting in line or scheduling my day, I simply walked casually in and was able to get my name on the last available wii during the pre-order.

Just worked out lovely, no complaints- and loved the system. Very fun and very unique as it made you truly interact with the games (yes, it involves actual movement). Well, time has passed and I heard of the Wii Fit, but honestly it didn't really draw me in. I was curious, of course, but not really motivated.

Well, we have come across two of them now as they are quite difficult to find, and we decided to go ahead and give it a go- see what it is all about.

Wow, I never expected so much from it. I thought sure, maybe it will be cute or darling with "some exercise" involvement, but never this. It is very Real.

It is so sensitive to the slightest shift change of your weight- you actually do have to control your posture and center of balance. No cheating in any of the exercises- it knows!

Even when it checks your BMI, it looks like you are standing still, but you do tend to shake or drift just a bit when you stand and it reads it perfectly to see where your balance is and how off or on you are to it.

With the yoga poses, it makes you not only do the pose- but keep your balance in this little circle, in reality which means keeping your posture correct as you do the pose. Seriously no cheating, and you really feel the stretch even more. Same goes with the push ups and so on. Breathing is important and it even agrees- combining my fearless breathing techniques with the wii fit games has helped me master them quickly and feel so much better for it!

The balance games are my favorite, I am quite proud at my success with them now (took a little practice, but I own them now! Next is to own the advanced levels).

I actually enjoy doing this every day which is key- I want to unlock more games and beat my last time or increase my quality of routine. Most importantly, it isn't the slightest bit boring at all. You're competing against yourself more than anything, but you can also compete against others if you wish to.

I absolutely love it- definitely worth the try to see if it is for you. I didn't think it would be but sure enough it absolutely is!

Vodka And Caviar

With a name like "Vodka & Caviar" I almost don't care what color it is, I have to have it. Nail polish colors have such unique and playful names, normally I may smile or laugh and then forget about it, focusing only on the color, but this time the name came first.

As part of the O.P.I. Russian Collection, one of their colors is beautifully titled "Vodka & Caviar"- how great is that? It is a rich crimson, which I love, too- and I am determined to get it. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect in the color when my dear friend phoned me about it (she knew I would love it, the words made her think instantly of me as it was). I am pleased it is such a rich and gorgeous color- my heart would have been broken if it was anything but gorgeous.

Vodka and Caviar... what a great thing, I am going to have to use that somewhere I just know it. Much love!

Sultry Silver Smoky Eyes

After a sultry dressed Halloween evening, I felt as though I should include a little touch of the same look into my day this morning. Nothing too out there, just a subtle hint through some dramatic eyes in my makeup.

And so I played with my make up to do a classic look with a silver glow. A nice touch of eyeliner to elongate the eyes and really make them pop combined with the classic smoky eye make up- only with more of a silver presence to make the look all the more dramatic and glamorous.

My lashes are pretty long to begin with naturally, but when you add the Le 2 Mascara from Guerlain it maximizes the volume and length like nothing else (I love it).

It is more about the silver faded into the hint of dark gray that collects at the ends of the eyes- one side with a fine eyeliner and the other with the rich smoky finish.

The finished look is simple but quite bold- a little can go a long way. It doesn't take long to do but the results last the entire day and feel flawless. This is a fun look to do and a great way to get excited about the day.

I did mine with silver and gray colors- however if you're looking for even more, go for the gold. Use a nice bronze or gold and mix it into a darker shade of brown- definitely rich and glamorous as well. Even a dark purple could prove to be royal and luxurious.

Play around and make it your own, simple is key as a little goes a long way. Its the details that count.

Fabulous Framboise Lambic Belgium Beer

MMmmm, simply marvelous! From its rich velvety texture to its luscious fruit flavors, sometimes I just have to indulge into my Lambic cravings.

Now, I'll admit I am a bit bias in my admiration for Belgium Beers, it is in my family name after all. But this one is a love even for the non beer drinker.

I was craving dessert this evening, something in a beverage but not quite a martini- when suddenly I ran into it and remembered the lambics. Seen here in raspberry, this malty beverage comes in many fruit filled flavors (Lindemans carries black currant, apple, cherry, strawberry, you name it and they are all quite wonderful).

It is a good balance that comes together beautifully.

I don't know what it is with me and beers with corks, but somehow it seems to be a recurring theme! This one in particular actually has a cap on top of the cork which is quite rare. It is all covered with a richly colored foil that best matches its fruit flavor.

It is made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. Raspberries are added after spontaneous fermentation creating a secondary fermentation which yields exceptional flavor and complexity in this beer.

It is a must try for anyone!

Or Little Red Ridding Hood

A couple of days ago I was thinking Alice in Wonderland, but now its the night before Halloween and I am thinking maybe Little Red Ridding Hood. What do you think? Little bit more of a sexy style, that is for sure. Both are quite fun though.

Now, this year I am thinking of vamping it up a bit if I do wear it. The costume originally came with a a dress (pictured below) but I think I want to make it more my own this year by adding my corset with a little red skirt to match the hood. Keeping the gloves and hood of course, but changing the body of it.

Oddly enough the corset is more comfortable than the dress- just something is off about it to me. Its cute, but just the way it was made is lacking inside. I like my new way better.

So I need a verdict! Little Red Ridding hood or Alice in Wonderland? (view the post Haute Halloween to see that one). Let me know- it is tomorrow night!

Oh, and also- if on the little red, do you like the original style (with the white lace dress) or my new style (with the black corset).

Haute Halloween In Wonderland

Halloween has come up rather quickly, and I have not explored the time into a new outfit for the occasion. So it seems I must venture into some of the costumes of the past. They're all so much fun, though- no use in letting them go to waste.

Of all my past costumes this one is my favorite- mostly because I made it on my own from scratch (with some loving assistance and touches from my mother which makes it an even greater memory).

It is my own little version of a Haute Alice In Wonderland. When I decided to make my own costume some years ago, I wanted it to be of Alice. I think it had the most opportunity and attraction for me. So I made it simple with some angled cuts in the skirt and tons and tons of lace. After all, why not? Its Halloween so why shouldn't it be glamorous! My kitty, Aveline, seen at the bottom makes for an even more complete costume.

When it comes to costumes I do love my fairy tales, its the child in me I think. Last year I was little red ridding hood- that was a fun little costume, too!

Pretty And Haute Burberry Shoe

I stopped by Saks Fifth Avenue in the Galleria today to pick up some mascara as I am running low, and couldn't help but get a glimpse of this beauty.

How gorgeous is this shoe? I had to stop and admire its beauty, it is absolutely gorgeous. I was honestly surprised when I saw the name of the designer, too- not what I would first have expected from them.

BURBERRY is the designer of the shoe, and bravo. I have my eye on it- its just too pretty of a shoe to ignore. The heel, the color, the texture and design of the straps, the toe- gorgeous!

Pretty In A Bow

Something I haven't done in ages- but used to always do and love, is wearing a ribbon around my waist and tying it into a bow for the absolutely adorable belt result.

I think it began as a child- you know how it was, turning the gift wrapping into accessories.. I loved the silky long ribbons people used to wrap their presents and would keep them to wear them as a belt (still do, lol). They come in such beautiful vibrant colors, too. It is just such a waste to throw them away.

This one is a more down to earth shade, very neutral. But when combined with a matching skirt of the same color- they come together in a delicate and feminine cute fashion. It is a look I love and feel comfortable in, its hard not to smile when you have a bow tied around your waist after all.

If you do not wish to use it as a belt- but still want to incorporate the ribbons into your fashion- they make a great accessory when tied into a bow on your purse, too! Very adorable and such a nice unique touch.

Pretty Peachy And A Beautiful Shoe

It has been rainy these past few days, but something different has come about it this time- a crisp coolness is now officially in the air. It feels slightly like winter- enough to be pleasant and comfortable.

This means I can bring out the wraps, furs, tights, and other fashionable items which have been patiently waiting in my closet.

I collect random cute accessories as I find them, and when it comes to winter accessories I tend to put them away until the season arrives- not thinking too much into my wardrobe just yet.

So now that it is cool and I am able to brings such items out, I was anxious to finally wear this cashmere and wool wrap with the little bunny fur balls. Cashmere, wool, a delicate pink peach color I love, and fur- the perfect combination for me of what I love in fashion! So when I took this out I remembered I had a skirt of the same color that would go perfectly with it- add lace and a bow in the same shade- fashion perfection.

I don't think I could have planned such a perfect match- I am quite pleased with the results.

I love how things work out that way! The look comes together as completely girly, classy, sophisticated, feminine and absolutely glamorous.

Now... about those shoes..

I do love a haute shoe, and I think these are gorgeous. Black and shiny with all the right curves- these are a classic fun shoe by Marciano from Guess. I couldn't resist but indulge in these.

They have the cute allure of a Mary Jane but all the glamor of a high heel. The little curve from beneath the toes which are rounded and gold buckle of the strap separate it from other black pumps, keeping it unique and interesting.

These shoes stand out from a distance and can really vamp an otherwise ordinary outfit. I am having lots of fun with them and am looking forward to incorporating them more into my wardrobe.

Silver, Sleek, Mirrored Elegance

One of my favorite dresses to wear that meets any occasion well is this silver sleek dress of an elegant design. From the flow of the beautiful material, the soft and subtle design and color, the delicate puff at the end of the sleeve, to the mirrored buttons placed in the center- I love everything there is about this dress.

I feel like royalty when I wear this dress, it is so comfortable and just looks absolutely lovely.

It may not be form fitted, but I still do find it very feminine- as you move it hugs just right where it needs to revealing hits of the feminine form all while retaining its classy and sophisticated elegance.

It has such a pleasant and subtle shine to it as well. It works wonders with the silver color- adding more to its regal nature.

Yes, I love this dress. More so, I love how I feel when I wear this dress- powerful, elegant, and beautiful.

Twisted And Angled Into A Bow Hair Fashion Style

It has been a while since I last styled my hair up and so this morning I was feeling inspired. I just started to play around a bit with my hair, originally considering a classy little side swept style, but then I did something different.

I started down low and off to the side- sectioning my hair off similar to how I normally would for the side swept up do. Only this time instead of clustering the twisted up buns on the same side together, I began to work my way up in a diagonal- not really on purpose at first it just kind of ended up in that direction.

Sometimes you just have to follow your hair to wherever it wishes to go to. As was the case here. I didn't know what to think at first but it began to grow on me and now I rather like it.

It is different and unique, but still very clean with that classic feel to it. The principles are not wild, but come together in a lovely modern manner.

Dressed up and finished with a bright and long red bow- I wrapped it around each mini-bun and tied the bow on top. So there is a low bun on one side and a high bun on the other (a cute bright bow peaking out). My hair is so dark that I wanted a contrast to make the design have more of a pop factor to it. I think a white ribbon would do the trick as well-but the red has such a nice richness to it.

Pretty Bracelet With A Creative Sparkle

This is a cute and fun little piece- one that stands out on its own. It is amazing how such a small little accessory can revamp the little black dress (or even any daytime outfit).

All the photos show different angles of the same bracelet; and that is what I love so much about this particular piece. It has so many different unique little designs on a very vibrant glitter background.

The colors pop with a strong contrast to reveal its own little personality- a very cute one at that.

I love that as you turn it the style completely changes, yet somehow they all come together so smoothly. One forever continuous piece of art. It makes me want to create something similar on my own- kind of like those Prada white canvas bags where you create your own design! Only, I don't think I would do it on a Prada (its just asking for a smear or slip of the hand mess up), but a blank canvas of my own is quite the possibility.

I think it would like nice in a scarf design too- something to look for and those are out there. The blended design where the style fades from complex to simple and back. I'll keep an eye out, that is for sure.

Kaffee gute Nacht Makes For A Good Night

The only thing that makes this a "coffee" is the splash of coffee found somewhere within this drink- absolutely delicious by the way. Hardly coffee, though- all booze, wow and yum.

The drink is prepared table-side, and what a beautiful presentation it is. The owner created the beverage himself and presents it beautifully with care. He begins with an orange wedge to the outside of the glass, then proceeds to coat the glass in sugar. He has a flame prepared and then brushes the orange-sugar coated glass to the flame.

Next is the beverage itself- mostly whiskey, kahlua, and some sort of citrus liquor- added by spoon fulls that are lit by the flame- glowing with a flame during the entire preparation. He mixes it from glass to glass and tops it off with some cream- and a final spoon of the flame-lit liquor.

Somewhere in the mix he added some coffee- it was so beautifully orchestrated that I didn't pay enough attention to the actual coffee. To call it Kaffee gute Nacht or "coffee good night" is quite appropriate as afterwards it will be good night.

Rudi Lechner's German restaurant was an absolute delight, and even a more welcomed surprise to have the man himself prepare for us his beverage.

Kobe Burger, Fois Gras, And Trufles, I Love You

Mmmmm.. so heavenly! One of my favorite things to indulge upon is a kobe burger topped off with fois gras and truffles!

Be still my heart- the look of it alone is beautiful. The photo above is from the Wall Street Burger Shoppe in New York, and it looks divine.

In Miami, I would always go to Prime 112 to satisfy my cravings (oh, also the fries are made in truffle oil). They also made my beloved Lychee Martinis there, what else would I need.

Actually, at Prime 112 they also have a Kobe hot dog, its a big one, too. Kinda awkward for some, haha. Its fun to watch the reaction when someone sees it for the first time. Definitely something to behold. If you go and want to simply enjoy a meal, I would recommend lunch time. Its much more pleasant if you aren't trying to do the whole "just to be seen" sort of thing. Gets overrated and crowded wherever you are under those circumstances. But I have always found lunch to be perfect there. (That or an extremely late dinner is nice too).

Nom Nom- Yum. Anyway, wherever you are I would recommend hunting one down, it is well worth it. If you travel make sure to indulge in one along the way.

Bright Yellow Fashion, M ....?

I like the color yellow, from the soft pastels to the brilliant and bold brights. It is a pleasant color to play with. Good place to start.

Now, M? Me, mine... who knows what it is supposed to mean exactly but for me it could be a few things. Oddly enough a few of my nicknames start with an M. One of which is Madrid- people used to call me the "Spanish version of Paris" for quite some time and the name Madrid kept with me. Oddly enough my last name starts with an M, too- so perhaps there is another option, lol.

It never occurred to me until after I bought the top, about the letter M. I just thought it was a cute and comfortable top that could easily be matched with anything. I love the material and color, and the design of the M has a lovely feel to it.

Funny how things work out!

So what does M mean to you? Maybe its just marvelous ;)

Fashion Layers Like An Anime Doll

I have never been one for layers, at least in this sense of the word. For me, layers usually means incorporating a scarf, shall, fur, or something sheer.

But this is something completely different, at least for me. It looked like fun and was different enough to catch my interest. Very anime sort of feel to it. I feel like an anime doll wearing it.

The nice thing is these are actually two separate pieces and not stitched together in any way. The white tank has a sort of skirt finish attached to it that I think could be really cute to pair with something else- maybe even a corset. Something tight and simple. I will have fun playing with that piece alone.

The gray loose fit top wears more like a sweater to me than a top- it goes well with the white but without it seems off. Definitely requires something under it.

Here is a close up of the bottom- you can see it has the sheer skirt that stands out. I will have to play with it, but I think a black tight top or corset would look nice with the detail like this beneath it.

Even how it comes, I am rather enjoying the outfit. Something definitely more casual and different, but still very cute.

Anchor Me Some Accessories Aweigh

Another beauty from my shopping incident the other day- I love it. This adorable little set looks like candy to me, it just pops with its bold cherry red color against the oh so bright white. It is perfect.

So darling and playful, I love it. Ready for a cruise or something of the sort, very inspiring. In the meantime they add character to any outfit.

They've put me in the mood for a cozy night with a movie- Anchors Aweigh in fact! Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, what is there not to love? Jerry from Tom & Jerry even makes an appearance, as one of my favorite childhood cartoons it makes it even more cozy and lovable.

Bright, Blue, And Very Betsey

The other day my best friend was visiting from out of town to celebrate another friend's birthday. Three fashionable girls on a day out together, you can imagine what that means. Shopping, Luncheon (Dim Sum), Salon, and an exquisite birthday dinner.

Shopping was mostly for pleasure, but we did have a mission- there was that dinner we had to look forward to after all. And it being a birthday, we must dress the part. So the mission was to find a birthday/party dress for the occasion. Not just any, but something spontaneous and fun, something simply for us.

We stepped into Betsey Johnson- we were looking for a spontaneous party dress after all, and we found this insane little number. A giant ruffled collar (which can be worn up or down over and below the shoulders), an incredibly bright bold and shiny blue, a ribboned belt and an open back. Wow, this was something else- not only that, there was only one, it was in my size, and it was discounted over $265 off of the normal retail price.

For that kind of deal and chance to come across, how could I say no? It is all in the spirit of spontaneous and fashionable fun after all. I mean, this is a dress that orders the drink for you, ha ha.

Definitely a party dress. Yes.

A Different Kind Of Earring

Now, this is something I never thought I would wear let alone come across, and yet here I am and loving it. This is something very unique with just a subtle little change that makes them stand out anywhere dramatically.

A simple and classic design to start- a large pearl-like ball with a gold clasp and little flat circle attached- simple. And then one remains short while the other drops down low from a thin golden strand. Gorgeous, I love it.

I found it a bit strange at first, but the more I looked at them the more I liked them. Why not, after all? I wore them today for the first time pretty casually- you can kind of see the top, its flows and then cinches closer to the waist with an open back- wore it with some black shorts. Casual for me at least, the earrings kind of dressed it up.

I am looking forward to wearing these with a simple black cocktail dress, my hair up in a fun little do, and wearing a cocktail ring to match (I have a giant pearl cocktail ring on a gold frame similar to these). I think that will be quite fun.

A Bow With A Bow To Match

Buy the accessory and the dress will appear- at least that is what happened in this case! I purchased these cute bow earrings not all that long ago, and sure enough this dress finds me- what a perfect match, I love it and couldn't help myself.

The earrings alone were quite fun, but this darling dress paired up with them I find to be simply adorable. It is hard not to feel that way when you have that many bows on you.

It is something slightly different, and not too much. I think it comes together nicely without being overwhelming. Any more bows and it would most likely cross that line- but I am good with where I am here.

The dress on its own is very pretty and comfortable as well- I love such a combination.

It is slightly fitted at the top and then flows down gently and slightly loose- which moves nicely when you walk.

The pattern is quite simple, and very pretty with large pearl buttons, some white lace down the center, and then the two black bows at the beginning of the straps. Absolutely darling.

A Delicate And Fashionably Cute Ring

I love cute little finds like this! I spent much of the day shopping with my friend visiting from out of town, and after collecting many shopping bags I came across this ring.

I had actually already checked out when it caught my eye- how darling of a ring is this? I love it, it looks so delicate and is simply adorable.

I love subtle details and anything unique, so I am looking forward to incorporating this little treasure into my fashion.

How pretty would this look holding a cocktail, mmmm- going to have to see it for myself!

Eat A Burger Feed A Duck- Why Not?

So, we had a strange start to our day. We drove out a little further than usual to run some errands (slight change of scenery is always nice) when we decide we are hungry, and so we stop for a burger.

It is a beautiful day outside with a lovely breeze. We sit and enjoy our meal, minding our own business, when suddenly we turn and notice that there is a duck staring at us.

Okay, was not expecting such company but we went along with it. We continued to eat and turned again- now there were six ducks. So why not, we were given some crackers from the restaurant to feed the ducks with. They were quite pleased, kept shaking their back tail feathers like a puppy or something- quite odd and quite enjoyable!

This seems to be part of the decor for a nearby community, and the ducks are quite attracted to the restaurant on the other side (where we were). Bold animals, they had no problem coming right up to us.

The baby ducks were adorable! With their tiny little hardly there wings, awww- so cute. One of them bit my fiance's toes. Bold little guys they are, lol. It turned out to be a lovely surprise and a welcomed addition to our day.

Jonathan Saunders Elegant Fashion

Surprise surprise, I am shopping at Target for the usual house items when I discover the name "Jonathan Saunders."

Well, I discovered the dress first, then put the style to the name. I adore sophisticated looks as much as I do playful ones, and when they intertwine all the more to love.

I think Target's description of him states it best:

"Scottish born designer Jonathan Saunders puts a nontraditional spin on the modern, constructed silhouette. He brings eye-popping color, a meticulous attention to construction and a playful sense of style to everyday sophistication. Saunders creates a look for GO International that's distinctly effortless and brilliantly avant-garde."

If you know me by now you know it is what I look for when it comes to modern style.

This dress- style, I love it. Moreover, I must say I love the way it moves than anything else. The low waist line flares out as you walk which is a lovely contrast from the straight and sleek style of the top portion. Classic with a modern twist- nice touch with the white popping pattern in the center.

Another dress I found from Jonathan Saunders is pictured here- it is classic, elegant, and beautiful in its simplicity. Its the little touches I like about this dress.

It is a black dress that hugs nicely to the feminine form, but the sleeves which are long and slim are somewhat sheer from the neck on.

It is so simple but so beautiful and elegant. An absolute classic, yet somehow modern with its sleek shape.

His name and style has certainly caught my attention and I am anxious to see what is to follow. Color was stated in his description from Target- I did not see many pieces while I was there, but I am eager and excited to see it.

Playfully Bold Dress With A Bow

When it comes to fashion and style, dresses have always come first for me. I adore them as those who know me know the truth in this statement.

But there are so many kinds and styles- from the form fitted to the interestingly shaped, from the hardly there to the filled with volume. There are elegant evening dresses and fresh spring like day dresses.

It is why I adore this dress so much, it blends into both rather well. The colors and pattern are rich and sophisticated, yet the way it is presented, with a cute little bow and open wide fun shape, it is easily playful and fun, too.

Not to mention comfortable, but I like the simplicity. The lines of the dress do more than anything, and with such a bold pattern you don't want to do something too complex. This is a fun dress that works for any occasion and that is why I love it.

I want to find more like it. It is slightly fitted at the top and then flares out with huge volume to the bottom- but is not so long that it swallows you up, just enough to be fun and fashionable.

There are other very elegant dresses I own that wrap up top with a bow, however they are all either black and white or a consistent pastel shade- nothing so rich as like the pattern seen here. Since finding this dress it is something I have been on the look out for.

Caipirinha: Cocktail Luxury Of Brazil

I remember my first taste of a traditional caipirinha. Living in Miami, many of my friends were from Brazil and knew the drink well. I would see them drink it and it was only a matter of time before I began to indulge myself.

So what is a Caipirinha, anyway- besides a confusing to pronounce alcoholic beverage? A traditional one is quite simply:

2 oz cachaça

Cachaça is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugar cane and is most known for its relation to Brazil. It is very much the alcohol of Brazil.

A restaurant by the name of Table8 in Miami (though originally from LA as seen from the photo above) offered a black cherry caipirinha- talk about deadly and delicious! Their twist of the drink involved muddled black cherries with cachaça. It definitely was a moment of: oh, how delicious, let me devour a couple and then discover upon my first attempt to move that the world will move around for me first. It is quite potent! so beware and take caution.

Gourmet offers a recipe for a passion fruit caipirinha, which calls for the traditional recipe with the addition of pure passion fruit juice. The drink is quite simple to start which allows itself very open to fruit inspired variations.

All are grand really, it is difficult to mess up. Oh how I do love my cocktails, and I must say I have been quite happy to see this beverage show up in more and more bars across the states. This is one to keep your eyes peeled for. Try it (in small doses to start perhaps, or at a slower pace if anything else) and enjoy its luxurious flavor.

Don't feel as though you have to wait for your bartenders to discover this for you first- they are simple to make at home provided you find the cachaça.

Make a traditional one and then make your own lavish concoction. Its really quite fun, invite some friends and make it an occasion to remember.

Oh How Kitties Grow Up So Quickly

So I am relaxing on the sofa and one of my kitties has to come up and join me. He is very much a snuggler, and something of a leaner. I don't know where he picked that up from.. he just likes to lean with all of his weight against you. I don't know if it is entirely comfortable or not, but he certainly likes to do it. Strange little kitty.

Well, not so little any more as you can see! This is Ulric; he is named Ulric because of all the kittens in the litter he was the one that would constantly cry "wolf", or meow wolf in this case. He can be a bit of a puppy at times, loves to play/devour his toys and enjoys car rides-even loves the flavored bone toys for puppies. I know, strange kitty.

Here he is as a kitten, you could totally eat him up, I know- he is sooo cute. He constantly wants to include himself as I am typing my posts, so I thought why not include him in a post of his very own. So I will show my kitty a little love.

I kept Ulric and his sister, who I have named Aveline, from this litter of kittens who were sadly left behind during a neighbor's move. All the other kittens were given to wonderful homes (including that of a Veterinarian, I know they are in great hands).

Aveline is something of a fashion kitty.. she loves to sleep in a hat box and inspect any purse or shoe she sets her eyes on. She's something of a flirt, too.. I think I'll introduce her in her own little post sometime in the near future. She definitely loves her accessories.

One Of My Favorite Glamorous Dinners

So last night my fiance and I enjoyed a wonderful evening in celebration of a recent business endeavor. It is something we both wanted to accomplish and throughout the year finally made it true.

We decided, why not celebrate it in our favorite glamorous style- a meal that stands out like no other and is simply a celebration on its own.

And so we did- we opened our chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rose and prepared a couple of hot dogs- a dinner of absolute style and delight.

Marlene Dietrich had it right when she said her favorite meal was hot dogs and champagne- they go quite lovely together- really! You have to try it, it is simply delicious and all around too fun. How can you not enjoy yourself? That is what it is all about anyway, isn't it. You may laugh but it is absolutely wonderful.

We enjoyed ourselves and will remember the occasion so much more for it. It makes it all the more unique and special. I think we are both anxious to do it again soon. I suppose that means we better start creating more reasons to celebrate. I think I can handle that ;)

Here's to a luxurious and glamorous dinner of Hot Dogs and Champagne- after all, in the words of Coco Chanel:

Floral Scents Of Beauty

Lately I have been feeling refreshed and pretty with floral and feminine scents. I don't like something that is too heavy or carries such a musk you feel as though you are living in a swamp- small doses are in order with heavier scents.

But I do like something light and crisp with maybe just a hint of a bite, something that gets your curiosity and attention going and says "ooooh."

I love Viktor & Rolf, they are creative and inspiring to me. With a name like FlowerBomb and such a delightful presentation, I was anxious early on to see the results. I find it to be lightly feminine and bold with that bite that is just right. And it definitely has it- bold and feminine bottled in such a pretty little bottle of a bomb. Its one I keep in supply at all times.

Now this one is perfectly feminine and sweet. It is light with a nice balance- a noticeable and welcome presence that is not at all overwhelming.

In fact, how I came to find it and love it is a story of itself- completely unintended at that.

A couple of years ago I was at work one day, standing in the entry way bored with a few other girls. It was that time of day where nothing happens, the calm before the storm if you will. It lasts an eternity it seems.

Anyway, there was a magazine I had been flipping through when suddenly a scent got my attention. I instantly smiled and sighed, tore the page and started fanning myself. Then, I proceeded to fan the girl next to me.

She instantly smiled and sighed. There we were, fanning ourselves and smiling. Now the third girl was looking at us quite strangely, it wasn't as though it was hot in the room or anything. We motioned and offered to fan her, she shook her head giving us the notion that we were indeed insane.

We laughed and began to fan her when she too- instantly began smiling. She got it at that point, and in fact was so in love purchased the perfume the next day.

We always could tell when someone was wearing it- it is just so lovely. Whenever I wear it I always think of that day when I first discovered it. Anyone watching us must have thought we were mad!

Oh well, I still enjoy Calvin Klein's euphoria blossom today as the perfect refreshing scent for my day.

A Feather Hair Accessory Experiment

Okay, here is a feather hair accessory I have somehow come into possession of (drat those pretty little impulse boxes by the register). I definitely like it on its own- it is very cute, but how to wear it in my hair and not look as though I am nesting a small family of birds. Hmmm...

This was a moment of opportunity to check and see how it would look, if you will. I had my hair in a french twist and a mass of curls to the side (from my previous post of a curly up do).

Just to test the waters, I tried placing the feathery clip in my hair to get a feel. Not so bad, definitely curious.

Personally, it could work but I think it competes with the curls too much here.. it is just unnecessary. I am determined to use the feathers, but in another style.

Simplicity works best when it comes to such bold accessories. I think a clean twist clasped by the feather accessory would look absolutely beautiful- almost like a vintage hat.

It is something I will be trying soon, but I wanted to give a little preview first and foremost.

I *love* vodka, you must understand this before anything else. So when I say to you that Zyr is my favorite vodka, this is definitely saying something bold.

Its pretty blue bottle stands out from anywhere, and it is a gorgeous a bottle. Something very nice to see match its classy qualities; the presentation is much appreciated.

Russian vodka speaks of quality alone, but an inspection is always needed to see what sets it apart from the rest, and why Zyr particularly is so special.

The results are absolutely amazing and incredibly smooth- dangerously smooth, in fact. It is a curious blend of winter wheat and rye- and the taste definitely is lovely.

I drink it neat or on the rocks, preferably on the rocks- it is best appreciated alone. It is such a smooth vodka and has just the perfect hint of a sweet finish. This is a yummy one and a must for any vodka and/or spirits lover.

I have yet to see someone who does not like it after having tasted it. Even those who generally do not prefer vodka (for usually they have not had it properly or have not had the right kinds).

Now, here is how it can be oh so extra dangerously smooth- if you choose to mix this vodka…

… you will devour your drinks faster than ever. It is so smooth it doesn’t feel like consuming alcohol at all when in the company of juices and other mixed drink combinations.

Now- it will definitely makes those drinks incredibly yummy and drinkable, if not refreshing, but for the true vodka lover on the rocks is the way to go here.

Should that stop you from ordering it in your mixed drinks? Never- do both depending on your mood. Tastes especially nice in a Basil8. Perhaps more on that one later.

Loving Tokyo Fashion

Well, I am at least loving this darling little dress I purchased from a Japanese boutique called Nonno. It's terribly cute, and I love it. Describing it may sound like a disaster, but it totally works the way I see it. And you do have to see it to believe it.

Let's look at this dress:

Brown with light blue polka dots, a blackbig bow belt, and white frilly poofy sleeves-bet you wouldn't seek that out on your own now would you. Nor did I, however I am pleased with the find.

Its one of those moments where you wonder "why do I like this, do I like this, I think I do, I can't stop looking at it" and while debating you end up falling in love with it.

Got to make a decision and move with it, that's for sure especially with fashion. If you aren't sure, no one else will be either.

So long as you love what you wear and wear what you love all is well by me.

I freaking love this bow belt, by the way. It has a little hook underneath so it is easy to match up with any other outfit, too. A black belt on a brown dress would never have been my first choice, but why not. This is how it came and was intended to be worn and I am quite enjoying it.

Glamorous Curls Twist Into A Fashionable Updo

So now that my hair is filled with all these magnificent curls, I thought I would have a bit more fun with it. Also, sometimes I don't want to be drowning in my own hair, and an updo can be quite refreshing as well as glamorous.

So here I have swept my hair into a classic french twist, slightly more to one side so it is just a bit off center, and allowed the curls to just fall as they desired.

I touched up the curls and made some more defining, and also pinned a couple wherever I saw fit.

Its a bit messy but I kind of like that about curls, they are allowed to be. Its natural and playful. I love the way they move as you walk too- with just the right kind of bounce. Its fun.

I like the contrast of this style- one side is completely smooth and controlled, the other is full of volume and massive curls.

If you wanted to, you could mix some of the curls on the other side as well, blend the two together. It is quite simple to do either way you like.

Lifestyle Luxury From An At Home Income & Someone Dear To Me

An answer to the old... "So what do you *do* anyway" question. What I do has more to do with why we do anything- to achieve the luxury of a certain lifestyle.

"A luxurious lifestyle" and "the comforts of home," we may say the phrase casually but it does hold a meaning to us all. We all yearn for it and after all is said in done there is nothing as luxurious as having all the time you wish to spend in your very own little place. It is all about having your own quality time.

I don't think I have formally introduced him so here he is, someone very dear to me and someone who has allowed me to live this lifestyle that I cherish.

He is my fiance, Timothy Black. Together through his experiences and knowledge we are able to live the lifestyle that we do. Oh, and by the way, neither of us work. And in case you are wondering, there was no inheritance or trust fund or anything of that sort involved! We don't have any bosses, or schedules, or meetings.. we pretty much do whatever we want to each day, it's really great.

Sometimes I think I take it for granted and don't share enough about it to you, and I want to. Especially as it is something that is open to anyone who wants our lifestyle, too.

It doesn't matter how much you earn if you work until you are so tired you have no time to yourself. There are more important things in life and nothing should keep that away from you.

So we travel, and shop (he has a great eye for style, I seem to have rubbed off on him nicely), and eat, and drink wine, and spend time with family and make great new friends along the way. He is great at what he has created for the brilliant thing is that it is all from home. He shows those who want to discover an income at home how to do it and do it well, too. He is a great coach- he taught me and I couldn't believe how easy it was, or how fun it could be especially when you are in control.

It brings me great new shoes, dresses, jewelry, spontaneous trips, and most importantly the time to do what I want when I want with the people I want.

It really rocks, lol.

For his birthday I took him skydiving in Lake Wales- what a great time. We were delayed a day though since there was a tornado warning or watch in effect- not something you want when you are jumping out of a plane! The next day was beautiful and I would do it again in an instant.

When I first met Timothy (over six years ago) and found out a bit about him, I also found out that he shouldn't be alive by the opinions of many doctors. Getting into a relationship, that isn't something you want to hear, let alone throwing him out of an airplane like this.

We've come a long way, and I wanted to share our story with you. I think it is important.

Glamorous Waves And Curls

I have a lot of hair, as I have said many times before. I like to try all sorts of different techniques from my usual sleek straight look, playful to elegant updo styles, natural slight waves, to all out wild curls.

The all out giant waves and curls is nice from time to time- but definitely has its place and is used sparingly (as it can often be out of control).

On a more usual basis I like have my hair fall into curls at the end- smooth from the top and large waves at the bottom. Its a nice touch and tends to make the hair bounce as you walk. Just kind of makes you feel happy, too- it is a nice feeling when your hair moves just right.

I find it works best in my favor especially when the weather is wanting a battle- the mixture of smooth and curly waves isn't destroyed by a drizzle or soak of humidity as much as the straight and smooth or all around curly styles are.

So, ha weather, take a look at this.

I like to play with the volume, too. Like with clothes, hair can compliment the style, flow, and movement of your wardrobe. It is extra nice when it all comes together so lovely.

Feather Fashion

Feathers and fashion, they can be a nice compliment to one another or an absolute mess. I think some well thought out and creatively placed feathers can come together lovely.

No one wants to look like they are wearing a chicken suit or are nesting birds in their hair, but again- a few subtle touches are beautiful and elegant.

I found this bracelet a while ago as part of a set. I loved the colors and softness on a bangle, and it would work well with most any outfit, especially those of browns and neutral shades.

Now, the set the shop had suggested with it would have been far too much for me. I think they were trying to hard to make it work- a chain link necklace draped in matching feathers, large earrings with the same.... yikes. Even those two pieces alone were enough to scream coo coo. But the bracelet was nice and simple- I think that is definitely key.

Most elegant and fashionable pieces are simple, which makes them so bold and beautiful. I am all for feathers- in small amounts and worn well.

Old Fashioned Glamour Awakens

Giorgio Armani defines classic elegance and beauty so wonderfully, and I am finding much inspiration from these looks and designs. It is very much old hollywood returned with a splash of fresh color and extra feminine softness.

The lines drop low and the fabric melts to the ground, looking as though it actually a part of the body itself. It just looks so lovely, and knowing Armani it definitely is. The photo here is from Francois Guillot, it realy captures the glamorous line well I think. Love the earings, too.

It reveals the feminine form beautifully and the colors are perfect. The hair is cute and i see what they are going for (great for the runway) but I don't know I would do it now. Maybe keep the side swept but still with medium to long hair to blend into. Still, cute but feels kind of messy or off.

This one I like much better, hair wise at least. It looks a little fuller and connects more around (not just all the hair on the side, but it connects around the back, too, more complete). I will have to play around with it and see what I can create.

Mmm, pretty fashion- I love it. I love to see more of it and it delights me to see it on the runway. Glamorous!

Barbecue Capital Of TEXAS Is Lockhart

This is the reason we drove 150 miles west out of Houston; Kreuz. It is worth it every time. We had sat around the house with no power or water for a day when we and the neighbors began talking of warm food and instantly we all agreed to drive to Kreuz before they closed for the night (which meant we had to leave right away if we wanted any chance).

We made it in record time and enjoyed the magical experience of what is Kreuz. The smell of the building when you walk in is like nothing else- Oh how I love it!

The rub is perfect and the rule of the house is "No Fork No Sauce."

It doesn't need it either. (Sauce is thought to hide the lack of quality in a meat). It just melts and falls apart lovely- especially the fatty brisket pieces. So yum. (Shhh, secretly, this place is my favorite)

(Less photos though, simply because the meat did not last in front of us- too delicious. We had limited timing too!)

So the next day (Sunday, and Kreuz is not open) we visit Smitty'S, the rivalry of Kreuz. When it all began they were both Kreuz, and then a man by the name of Smitty's joined the family in business. After the passing of the father, the children argued and eventually one kept the Kreuz name to a new building while the other kept the original building and called it Smitty'S.

Three of the number one barbecue best are all located very near each other, two being in Lockhart and the third being in Lulling (only minutes away really).

All three use the same technique of having a fire with the smoke traveling a slight distance to the meat- it requires much patience and attention and so very few continue this style of barbecue but the results go extremely far. It is well worth it.

Next, finally, is Monday's visit to Lulling's City Market. I cannot recall the name at the moment, but the editor or one of the writers for Gourmet Magazine named this their favorite meal ever (stating even though you would think it would be something fancy and expensive, the meat was so true and divine nothing has been better).

It comes very close to Kreuz in my opinion, VERY close. In fact I absolutely love them all. Just look at it in its divine beauty- oh so perfect. Yum!

This is barbecue done to perfection and with love. It is always the same people you see working at these places, too. I love that. They know and truly love what they do and do it extremely well.

They have been doing this for years and years, and it shows. Even the cash register has soaked in the smoke throughout the years, lol. What a lovely place to be.

Beautiful & Bold Betsey Shoes

Let's talk about shoes, shall we. In my little spontaneous trip two of my purchases were Betsey Johnson Shoes.

There is no mistaking that bright pink box anywhere, or her shoes for that matter. They have a habit of standing out in their designs.

This is my new fun favorite little toy, the print is so bold and vibrant and the heel is simply devilish. Such a sultry little shoe- I love it.

It has just a subtle little peep toe opening in the front too, which gives it a unique little character.

A simple black dress certainly goes much further with this shoe. Little is necessary or otherwise it will compete. It is quite loud on its own (people have stopped me on the streets since I purchased them)!

Okay, now for the other pair- from red and black to black and white. Here we go.

This one is definitely younger in style and playful more than elegant. I love the black vinyl strap that wraps across the top- I think it is absolutely adorable!

Dots, little buckle, straps, open toe, and a high heel- how much fun is that? It's precious and bold all together. What a delightful design!

Alright, I am hurricane Ike'd out (city is a disaster though everyone is definitely working together to get things back up and running- endless large trees scattering the streets and homes and many without power or water).

In my previous posts I mentioned I took off for some relaxation in a hotel some 150 miles away from the disaster of the city. We did some beautiful shopping and I couldn't help but fall into this gorgeous Georgio Armani dress.

I love Georgio Armani- what isn't there to love of such beautiful designs? The fabric simply melts and falls perfectly into place, it is quite simply like heaven.

And this dress, too, melts and flows off the skin just like heaven. The color is gorgeous (I love lavender/lilac shades, so soft yet so bold and elegant). Ah, heavenly!

I am starting to feel refreshed already, wow. Much more to come *hint*hint* especially shoes and delicious food ;)

Some Of Ike's Destruction And Survivors

Well the sun is shinning and the sky is once again blue in Houston. Power and water are returning in little pockets throughout the city which is lovely to see.

After the first day without any power or water, we and the neighbors decided to make a spontaneous trip to Lockhart TX for some bbq/warm food and perhaps a stay in a hotel if it was possible. Lockhart is about 150 miles away, and so I phoned the hotel and discovered they had only two rooms available- perfect! We ended up staying a couple of nights there and absolutely enjoyed ourselves.

Now, when we left we had two bags of ice from before the storm. One was in a cooler along with any meats and cheeses we had. The other I placed in the freezer to act as a second cooler for the meantime. I had placed some sodas in there as well- so they would be chilled for later and last longer.

Now, when I say spontaneous I mean we thought up the idea and acted on it within ten minutes- packing a very light and very quick overnight bag just in case. (It is a 2-2 1/2 hour drive and the restaurant would be closed in 3 hours, we had to act fast). So we acted quickly and things like the soda were left in the freezer (no electricity anyway at the time).

Well, upon returning home the power must have come on late last night for sure enough there was quite a mess, lol. Vodka survived just fine... luckily for me I usually only keep vodka and some dessert wine in my freezer (I know, I know- its me though). I can live with that being the only destruction in my house.

Now outside was a different story. There is some roof damage apparent, but I still am not sure of the severity. A lot of water did make it through in the hallways of our apartment complex (everything is indoors, much like the layout of a hotel).

Our fence is, well, gone for the most part. So are all of those in the buildings around us. Much tree damage to be seen just about everywhere in the city, though again things certainly could have been much worse and I am grateful they were not.

This is a view outside our balcony of the courtyard entry way, our trees lining the walkway have ben smoothed down by the storm. All our windows are in tact though I cannot say the same for much of downtown.

Phew, I am exhausted. Much cleaning and much traveling. I'll be posting again soon with some happier, yummier, prettier posts. Great food and three new gorgeous shoes were also a result of this storm for me, and you will be seeing them shortly. Until then, much love- xx Bombshell Beauty

Ike Update And My Dissapearance

Well, no power or water as to be expected like much of the rest of the city. Our apartment building looks fine- definitely some roof damage though I don't know the severity yet, and some sort of minor gas leak at the entry. There are things to be done.

We took a spontanious road trip with our neighbors to Lockhart TX which is about 150 miles west of the city of Houston, for some amazing barbque and a couple of nights stay at a hotel (oh the pleasures of electricity and water!). Seems to have been a great choice for us and we are definitely enjoying ourselves.

I am writing from the hotel, will have a better update once I return home later tomorow and am able to upload my many pictures. I've spoken to most of my friends and family and everyone seems to be okay which is grand. Most everyone reports that they are well, just bored. Better than not, I am glad they are well.

Not Looking So Pretty, Ike

Ick.iCK.IcK. So when I left Miami I am not so sure what I gained, lol. Oh well, at least I know the routine I suppose. I like where I am anyway.

Ike is huge, but at least it looks like it is moving quickly and will be over and done with fairly soon. Much water expected and *probably* no electricity for a bit. I'm prepared for it.

I remember Wilma in Miami (though we didn't get any recognition- its okay, we know how to take care of ourselves). No power for over three weeks, lovely. Didn't have gas either which meant cold showers for the most part.

The first day after the storm was fun- grilling steaks with the neighbors and neighboring restaurants, cool fresh weather, and an all around friendly attitude to help each other out. Great way to get things back in order.

It was the second week it started to get old, you know when you haven't had any produce, meat, or other non perishable item in days and the battery charge of your laptop and other items have run out.

By no means do I feel light about it- its dangerous and causes severe destruction. But how you handle it can be controlled. The photo above was in my neighborhood in Miami; there was this large tree in front of our home that came crashing down and just missed our car. You cannot see it in this photo (all you would see is leaves and branches anyway) but you can definitely get the feel and see smaller trees that also fell. Our home was down the street and on the other side of the road from this photo. There were cars on top of cars, gas station roofs peeled back like food cans, and downtown was nothing but glass. I have a whole new respect for my building!

For The Love Of Chocolate & Beauty

Oh but I do love chocolate. One of my favorite to indulge in on a regular basis is the Ritter Sport chocolates. Yummy and so many flavors I cannot seem to find them all quickly enough.

I think they are fun, too- with so many styles and all packaged in a convenient size. You know the square wherever you go, it stands out. Dark is generally my preference when it comes to chocolate (like truffles and especially when powder and/or bits of cocoa nibs are involved). And second to that is anything involving hazelnut or hazelnut cream/liquor. Love it.

So for me my favorites to have on hand from them are the Praline and Dark Chocolate With Hazelnuts. So yum.

I must say their Alpine Milk Chocolate is quite wonderful too- so milky and creamy. Just the right decedent consistency that melts in our mouth.

A surprise for me was the cornflakes chocolate bar- it was like nothing I imagined at all and quite lovely! It really works. I was expecting it to be 'eh' or 'just okay' but was quite happily surprised. My fiance thinks so, too (as I have noticed that one tends to disappear rather quickly without any supervision). The marzipan seems to vanish rather quickly as well, but that one is rather classic and true to form. Also delicious.

Look at them, aren't they pretty? I am out to go enjoy some now, maybe cuddle up in bed to a movie or cartoon.

Next time you come across one I would certainly recommend picking up a bite for yourself as a lovely treat.

Runway Fashion Eyes Look

So on the subject of things that are girly and looking like a doll, I recall this fashion show for Orangia I had done with some of the prettiest make up.

Not for day to day wear, but something to take inspiration from and play with. I adored this look on the runway (all the girls had the same make up for this show, hair varied but all were variations in curls).

I like the constancy in make up and hair (theme) in shows, it makes for a nice complete look.

Big and bold eye make up is what stood out in this show, the cheeks and lips a bright bold pink. Very cute and very fun. I like to do the same in a more natural feel- the light pink worn normally with some black bold eyeliner that flairs at the eye's end.

Its a fun and very girly look. I think much can be done with it. Oh that night, sooooo much champagne with cherries after the show was done. So yummy, so tired, lol. It took me a little while to wash my face once I was home.

Anyway, I love the look and it can be toned down to an off the runway wearable look for sure. Much love.

Because Sometimes You Want A Splash Of Color

Sometimes a little color is in order- you just feel like it perhaps. I know I can get that way from time to time, especially when wearing black or neutral colors. Brings out a different attitude and above all is quite fun.

So a while back I had done this photo shoot and really enjoyed the make up when all was said and done. Here is a glance to your right of what it was. Simple little touch and great color- I loved it. It inspired me to bring it into my style.

Also, I like to wear my hair in pigtails from time to time, lol. I think it is cute and a nice touch with the right style.

So here I did my own little touch from the inspiration of the shoot, and dressed it up with a bold hot pink lipstick. Very daring and very bold all together, but fun for that every once in a while thrill.

The eyes with the color alone I think can be worn in any way you wish to- cute, daring, elegant, etcetera, you name it.

Blue is right there with black on elegance, especially the darker shades. Blue mascara can be a fun touch, and the darker and richer the more subtle and curious appeal.

Glamorous & Beautiful Rings For Fashion

I did some shopping today, some premeditated some unexpected. I was looking for some classic and simple dresses and perhaps some unique shawls or sweaters, when there was this unexpected box by the door just filled with rings. It looked like trash (all the price tags covered the items making them indistinguishable) and so I don't think everyone realized what it was.

It became my treat to find some true gems. Natural curiosity and a box of unknown items in a fashion shop, you know I am going to indulge and risk one of the nine lives.

I found something for all occasions, and best yet they actually fit me- you have no idea how big a deal that is for me, lol. I almost always have to custom order my rings (which is fine), otherwise I am stuck with the kiddie one size to fit all sort of thing. Hum drum but will do. I am a ring size 4, so when they are available they never have enough to last.

I like the elegant simplicity of this black gemstone ring. I can wear it casually or in the evening with a nice dress. It is subtle and devilish. This one is just too fun, makes me feel a bit armed and dangerous if you will. I love the detail and cute play of a simple design.

Yay, pretty new little toys. Such a delight and inspiration.

Alright, this next one is a slight change from your usual multi beaded loose ring- if you look closely (you can tell more when the ring moves) there are little golden flakes of leaves that are mixed among the beads.

It redefines the ring, I think, and sets it apart from the others of that style. Makes it a bit more dainty and delicate.

I like the gold with the white, too- it leaves a lot of room for incorporating it into the wardrobe.

And then finally there is this classic little fun and bold ring. Looks nice in dimmer lighting, has that nice way of catching the light just right. Very easy to wear with any style of outfit, day or night.

Here are my new fashion accessories of inspiration. I am looking forward to playing with them and matching them with different outfits from day to day.

Cookie, Cookie, Cookies

I love cookies, lol. I was out and about early this morning and decided to make a stop at my favorite French bakery in town, rightly titled French Gourmet Bakery. I remember coming here as a child with my parents to purchase fresh bread for delicious meals at home. So this place and I go back, I love it.

Me and cookies are very much like that episode of Family Guy where Stewie has a crush on the little brunette girl who's line of notice throughout the show was "Cookie?" For then Stewie to find out she never liked him- it was only for the cookies. Mmmm, cookies, haha, that would be me, too.

My craving came from the other night- we were enjoying some wine with our neighbors when someone said cookie, and both she and I instantly start saying cookie and that we want a cookie.

Now I have them, and yum! Your classic chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin are pictured at the top- chewy and magical, simply perfect. This bakery can do no wrong, not once in all these years have I ever had a bad experience.

Following the classics, is another one in my heart- the thumb print cookie. Perfectly crumbly with the right amount of moistness that melts only when placed in your mouth, oh and the chocolate they use is ridiculous how great it is. My "I don't like chocolate" friends fight for the last bit of it. Truly, a must have.

The last one is an iced ginger cookie with the little silver ball sprinkles. Simplicity goes far with this one, and all the spices are just right.

Normally I do like to bake my own cookies, but I have not done so in a while. Besides, this place for me is an extra special treat.

Here's to the love of cookies. I dare you not to want one, now [ LOL ].

Things That Are Girly Like Candy & A Bow

I'm feeling a bit girly today, and looking through some of my accessories I found some fun inspiring pieces. One is a bow and the other looks like candy with a bow. Love it.

My friends always threaten to eat this one- if only they could. I love the color and style- it is very pretty and very girly in a playful sort of way. It looks like giant gum drops or something- I'm not sure but it looks delicious, ha.

The pink bow just adds extra charm I think. Quite lovely and it is something I do enjoy wearing.

And speaking of bows, here is a pair of adorable bow earings. The little beads that hang from the bow really add that special touch. I found these at a little Japanese shop (they had a red version available as well) and couldn't resist them. They are on a black small loop so the bow hangs just below the ear. Quite the cute little accessory.

Hmm, looking at it the little beeds look like some sort of candy treat as well. A bit more subtle but still delicious in style.

Playing Game Pieces As Fashion Accessories

Such a cool little find that speaks for itself as a fashion statement; a mahjong (or mah jong if you prefer) bracelet. Game pieces are fun and add a unique and playful flair to fashion- in little bits of course, too much of anything is overwhelming.

My fiance found this bracelet some time ago (he has a great eye) and I love mixing it in with my style. Its rather large and its bold colors and contrast truly stand out.

People constantly ask me if I play mahjong- and I don't, don't even know where to begin on the game, but I do love the pieces.

Here's another game piece turned jewelry accessory- the Jack of Hearts.

This one is more subtle and still has an elegant feel to it. I find it fun to blend it with my more delicate gold pieces and let the character in the center make its subtle appearance.

Jack, King, even Queen I suppose if you wanted to, but I think it looks most like the Jack to me. Its really quite fun. After having found these I tend to keep an open eye for more.

Let me know what you find as well- I love to see creative new twists on fashion, and often times subtle out of place appearances are key, as in this case it is all a game.

I Never Thought I Would Do This Fashion Nightmare

Oooooh, yes- so much for never. It all happened accidentally, and it would almost have to.

Its one of those 80's looks of the past that is so laughable- my fiance insisted I try on these ridiculous jeans so that we may laugh at them together. We couldn't believe they had so many acid washed jeans on display- it was such a joke we had to partake. And the joke's on me apparently.

I totally like them- I mean I actually like these jeans. I NEVER thought I would say or admit these words, but these are a cute pair of jeans- darn them. It wasn't until I had them on that I came to this realization. And by no means am I going to look for more or encourage them to return- but this particular pair.. darn their cuteness.

Even the buttons at the bottom are kind of cute to me now. And I am not a jean person to begin with, but these fit me like a dream. I couldn't pass them up.

Ugh, okay but on an actually current and happy to

indulge upon fashion note- another killer top from Richard Chai has been added to my wardrobe (with the jeans no less).

It has extra long sleeves and is slightly open in the front from the top and bottom- with a low neckline and a high center line. I like how it flows out but still feels comfortable and fitted. It allows for movement- both functional and for show, and it moves lovely.

The little buttons on the shoulder are a nice touch, too. Again with the detail, I am quite pleased.

Alright- I've admitted to taking pleasure in my fashion crime, and even brought something nice to make up for it. Think what you want but I love it. Maybe the top helped me pull it off- I don't know but I'm doing it.

A Lovely Welcome In A Basket

What a lovely way to welcome someone, and this one came unexpectedly. It is time for us to renew our lease for our apartment (a simple chore if anything else) when afterwards we are given this lovely basket. If only every errand came with such a gift- I am impressed and happy to be where I am, a very good touch on their part.

They also make fresh baked cookies downstairs by the concierge- I love these guys. So friendly, too. The basket came with some yummy lemon iced biscotti, a freshly baked cookies scented candle, some ritter chocolates (a favorite of mine, yum) and a bottle of savignon blanc with a cute little bottle charm of grapes. Well done, and how lovely!

It makes me think though- when was the last time I did this.. too long ago. There's something to be said about presenting a welcoming gift in a well thought package. Doesn't take much, but the details go far. The last time I presented someone with a basket was quite some time ago- its just so easy to present someone with a bottle of wine. I like the charm on the bottle, it really dresses it up and is quite simple to do. Its the details that stand out.

Wild Prints For Fashion Fun

I love a beautiful print- usually filled with color, bold, and fun. This skirt is something different but still quite fun and bold. Not the usual bright colors you see in a print, but the normally toned down shade of brown against the white with this wild pattern is remarkably bold and I love it.

With a print like this I want it to stand out on its own- too much of anything else, color, design or whatever have you would just get lost and compete.

One thing I would do is wear some funky or playful earings- maybe a bangle on my wrist as well; it can handle the skirt's design without fighting it.

This particular skirt I found at forever 21; I must say they produce some cute items from time to time (though their options are massive and overwhelming as well- at least for me).

I like this pattern and color scheme- it is something I wouldn't mind having more of. I think brown is a nice color and I haven't really seen it so bold as it is here. Who knew it had such a playful attitude- just needed a fun pattern to show it.

Oh, and of course the shoes... Normally I'd wear a simple shoe (black pump or even my brown ballet slipper heels pictured below). But instead I decided to wear my new Vincent Camuto shoes- these are some hot shoes. I did an entry a little while back on them, and here they are again, such beauties. Brown and white like the skirt (though shades lighter I think it still works just fine).

And here is the other shoe I would wear with this skirt (which matches in color exactly, and yet still a little playful in design). Its my BCBG ballet slipper heels- I bought them years ago but they still stay in style. One of those classic shapes and colors that will always be in. Its such a pretty shoe.

Cafe Cubano Just Around The Corner

This is great; I move from Miami and at apparently the same time so does this gentlemen around the corner. Even better, he opens up a little shop and calls it "Cafe Cubano" and you guessed it, serves the most wonderful cafe cubanos and all the traditional Cuban cuisine to go with it. Yum!

My fiance loves the coffees, but only once in a while for him. He instead has found delicious enjoyment in the Malta from Hatvey- oooh, this is a good one.

They have a couple different Malta's, I think this one is the best by far- it has the most flavor, strong and distinct which I like in a beverage. Just the smell alone is fantastic. This is a must try if you ever come across it- let me know when you do.

Okay, back to the cafe cubano- or in my case, cortadito con leche evaporado. There is nothing like a nice strong espresso brewed with sugar and then topped off with steamed evaporated milk- just a little of course, and talk about heavenly! Oh I love this drink, and finally I can begin having them again and just around the corner from where I live- how lovely is that?

He makes my favorite little pastry to have with a coffee, too- the guava and cheese pastels. It compliments it perfectly.

I would love to see walk up Cuban Cafes start spreading like the Wine Bars have been, maybe this will be the next thing. What a treat that would be. People need to love coffee again (actual coffee- don't get me started).

Ooh- a little PS, Here's a little look of some of the other fun sodas they offer. I'm told the IronBeer tastes similar to a fruity Dr. Pepper, but I don't know- we'll see. We bought them to try later, I'll let you know how it goes.

A Vest Of Feminine Fashion Style

I am very old fashioned when it comes to most things (although with a modern twist) and when it comes to pants or men's clothing on women I tend to shy away. It just isn't for me for me. I am not against it and think other's can wear it well, fashion after all is about finding what you like and what represents you best. On this rare occasion I find myself liking this cute little navy blue BCBG vest. It is form fitting and the buttons are adorable.

I think most masculine turned feminine styles can be constricting or non feminine flattering if you know what I mean (hiding the feminine shape and pushing a masculine one). I am all for playful trends, but there should be a well meaning purpose behind them and for the wearer. This is a good balance for me, and most importantly I still feel like a pretty sophisticated lady (and in my own clothes- as though they were made with a female in mind).

The men's shirt dress for women can be fun with a cute belt to reveal the woman's shape, but sometimes it just looks like you rolled out of bed and picked up your boyfriend's clothes before leaving home. I have some mixed feelings there, and the wearer just seems to get lost over the fashion. Fashion should make notice of what you are and not the other way around.

Anyway, I think this combination is a cute and simple one. Make your own adjustments and add your own accessories. But even on its own it makes quite the statement.

Gorgeous Fashion And A Touch Of Michael Kors Shoes

It's a gorgeous day outside and I am feeling great. So much so I brought out my favorite skirt. It is a cute little number from BCBG that is layered with that frilly feel without being obnoxious- its cute and I love it.

Normally I would wear a simple black fitted top, but today I decided to dress it with a long strappless black top that just hugs over at one end. Makes it look more like a dress and it is quite comfortable as well. Its classic with a little bit of fun from the skirt and subtle shape of the top.

Seeing as it is day time, I am wearing some clunkier bootie heels in a pretty gray color from Michael Kors. In the evening I would lean more to a classic black stiletto, but for now it is an excuse to wear these. I love them, they are a new purchase and are simply gorgeous.

They are sophisticated booties in my opinion- fun but with an elegant line and beautiful color. They are clunkier than what I would normally wear with this outfit, but then again what isn't when compared to the spiked stilettos? As with all Michael Kors shoes, they are remarkably comfortable as well as stylish. And the price I find to not be outrageous which is a nice little bonus.

It is a fun shoe and one I wish to incorporate into my wardrobe more often.

How lovely is she; I must say I am quite pleased to see a conservative woman take such a grand role in our society. I honestly had no intentions of getting into politics here (as messy as it can leave things), however I cannot avoid mentioning recognition especially after today. It is only appropriate that I do so.

Alaska's Gov. Sarah Palin is making history and it is something I would love to see go through all the way. She has a great voice of reason and determination like no other. And what a wonderful family, too- she is all class and everything I like to see. Bravo. Isn't she gorgeous, too? Well spoken and an intelligent lady, McCain's choice in a Vice President is quite wise.

Fun Little Weekend Updo

I feel like having a little fun with my hair. Something playful yet still with that classic sophisticated look. I decide to divide my hair in half- keeping the top portion smooth and tucked in for that flawless feel.

For the bottom half, normally I would do something of a french twist and blend it into the top portion, but instead and seeing as I am feeling playful, I break it up into portions and twist them all up together for this fun little look. Smooth on top, swirls on the bottom and a bow to meet them for that extra feminine touch.

Play with it as you like and make it your own. It is quite simple to do and takes little time. I think this will add a whole new feel to any outfit as well.

Bold, Red, And Feeling Lucky With A Bow

I always thought I was an ox, and it was only recently I found out I am a rat. Being a Capricorn, my birthday is in January- which is the beginning of our year. Whenever I look at the Chinese fortunes, they are determined from year of birth. Naturally I always looked at it with my birth year in mind, the one designated by our calendar. It never occurred to me to look at it with the Chinese Calendar in mind. Obvious, I know now- since their year begins in February- that makes my birth year the previous one, and thus I am a rat.

Anyway, we are currently in the year of the Rat, which is what brings me to this post. Wearing a red ribbon (traditionally around the waist, wrist, or ankle) during your Animal year (which cycles every 12 years) brings you luck. As I am now aware that it is currently my year, I thought it nice to incorporate it into my fashion.

I tend to do so with a big and bright red ribbon around my wrist or as a belt around my waste (outfit allowing of course). The ribbon I have been using is a very distinct red, and when I found this cute top that matches it EXACTLY I couldn't pass it up. Even the material has the same sheen to it. A lucky find, indeed. I'm wearing the ribbon in my hair in the photo (don't think it has the same effect for luck there, but I still do quite like it, and it keeps my mind on a positive outlook).

It is such a rich color and I am loving it. I tend to wear only black with this top, as it is so bold and bright any other colors would be competing. I like just one thing to stand out, and in this one it is definitely the color (though the back is a nice touch, too).

Soupe à l’Oignon Pour Votre Sante

When it comes to soups this has always been my favorite one. Soup a l'Oignon or French Onion Soup is a delicious bowl of onions in beef broth (often spiced with a bit of sherry and herbs) with the occasional crouton and coated in a blanket of gruyere cheese with a heavenly aroma.

I am a bit of a sniffling mess at the moment, and nothing cures me like a bowl of French Onion. It warms my throat and keeps my belly happy.

I don't have to be sick to enjoy it though, I adore it much the same whether sick or healthy. The crispy cheesiness that clings to the bowl is also a nice ending treat.

Traditional is my favorite, as I find sometimes when people try to dress it up it loses its character. Multiple cheeses doesn't offend me, but keep the broth simple- it should never be cloudy or creamy. Abide the rules and you will be rewarded every time.

Richard Chai Raises Fashion Glamor At TARGET

It's the unique touches that make a signature I like most, I think. For the pieces I have seen from designer Richard Chai in the nearby TARGETs, each piece stands out as something of a unique individual's vision rather than a large produced run of the mill item.

Its the small things I love. The bold color of this outfit along with the sleek material and finish; not to mention the adorable shorts in the same beautiful matching color.

They're too cute on their own, with nice details on the pockets and a button that wraps to just one side. Quite fun (and yes, short).

There was a dress that stood out to me too, an elegant deep purple print with a black border and gorgeous drop swoop neck. Something fun, unique and just a simple twist on a classic form.

I am looking forward to see more and hope TARGET's designer spotlights (as well as those offered by others) continue to provide new inspirations and wonderful fashion alternatives. Great style should be accessible to all, of course.

Kostritzer, Mmm I like my beer like my coffee: BLACK

I am quite particular when it comes to my beers, though I often find myself rewarded for it. By far, Black lager is a favorite of mine. Kostritzer is everything I love in a black lager in one convenient and pretty bottle.

Don't think me a snob- I will try any beer at least once (usually a sip of another person's so I am not dedicated to it) and am open to other styles. Belgium ales are consistent choice for me as I love my Blue Label Chimay. The Trappists know what they are doing. But that is another entry altogether. More on that one later.

Ooh, the Kostritzer though! Look how lovely it looks on its own- so delicious.

For its rich and dark appearance, it has a surprisingly light and clean finish (nothing like a loaf of bread others may offer). It has a delicious malty texture to it as well, but again quite surprisingly light in body. It certainly has body, don't be misinformed- it is such a nice balance.

This is a special treat for me, as I have only been able to find it at this restaurant we go to in Sarasota when we visit my fiance's father. It makes it that much more of a treat to enjoy it in great company.

If you see this one around let me know and try it for yourself. Even if you *think* it may not be your thing, it is always worth a taste to see for sure. Who knows, it could be your new favorite, too!

Yes, I Know My Sunglasses Are Big, Thank You

Why, yes... I did know my sunglasses are bigger than my head- thank you! Some people are such comedians. I actually do get asked that from time to time- if I am aware of the size of my sunglasses to the ratio of my head. And I do.

I love Oliver Peoples, of all my sunglasses I cannot help but keep coming back to these. Such a classic style with a modern twist- the thing I look for most in fashion.

I will be wearing these for quite some time as well. Less a trend and more a classic. It is funny how things blow up overnight. I'll never forget shopping in Cannes for the biggest watch I could find- and covered in crystals at that. Something I concocted in my mind and had to have. It was impossible to find, and once I discovered it I was ever so pleased with it. Then- some time after returning to the states- it was everywhere and all that *could* be found. Made it a bit less desirable and more of a trend. I still had my fun with it though. The sunglasses blew up quite the same way.

Oh well, more options and designs, no? I am always great with that. It is all in how you wear it anyway. This year I am feeling more traditional classic designs in bold new colors. Whether or not its the next thing to blow up, I will be looking for it. More to come.

Fashion Day Wear Cute Find

I am doing my normal day to day TARGET shopping when something catches my eye. TARGET has a tendency to get a good response from me, but quite unusually I am finding it to be more and more in their clothing department.

Their designs have rapidly grown and improved through the years, and now stand up to anyone else. With new designers and spotlight designers they are doing wonderfully.

I've found some exceptionally fun pieces from the GO International Collections and will continue to look for more. Here is a top I just purchased and adore- the design is great with subtle twists on classic features. Slightly sheer- but not enough to cause any trouble, and decorated with well placed large buttons.

I like the sewn in belt, too- its a nice feature that really makes the top stand out. Casual yet sophisticated, it stands alone great or could compliment anything form simple to funky jewelry. I have some safari styled jewelry pieces I think would work the outfit great.

I like to wear my hair to the side on this one, in a neat little side swept braid. Simple and cute, and it doesn't hide the collar which would otherwise be lost in all of my hair.

Yes, I think I will continue to peruse the TARGET clothing section much more often, as well as the designers they are attracting. Richard Chai has gotten my attention most recently. Definitely a name to know and follow. More on that latter.

Side Swept Beautiful Updo

A little something I did before leaving the house to run errands. It is a bit rainy outside, or at least threatening to be, and so when I wear it down it has the tendency to poof beyond control. I thought I would win this battle by pinning it back in a cute little design and avoid the hazards of the weather.

I did it quickly and so it is a bit messy, but I think it works rather well that way with this style. The "controlled mess" look. Some pins keep it in place and then I decided to top it off with a black bow. Just a little something more for that feminine touch.

My hair is so dark I don't think you can really see it, but the shape adds nicely to the silhouette which is what I was really going for. Next time I will most likely use a piece that pops and stands out- ooh maybe a feather broach/hair pin would look nice... would definitely be one to do!

I like this since it looks nice and it smoothly transforms for an evening look- perfect for cocktails. Mmm, may have to have one now.

Make Me Up In Golden Beauty

I am feeling a bit gold today, it is such a radiant and rich look. Doesn't take too much which is nice- subtle touches of the right hues in the right places is all.

I had been in a lingerie fashion show where the theme was wild animals. I was assigned the leopard (much to my pleasing) and simply loved the make up Morgan, the make up artist, had created.

Above and beside are photos of her work (it was a late show and some champagne and enjoying the evening afterwards makes one a bit tired- even so I think the make up held up quite alright).

Anyway, remembering this look, I allowed it to inspire one of my own. Though the side bronze is quite beautiful and great for show- it is a bit much for day to day.

So Instead I thought to make it softer with some bronzed gold coloring just covering the lids and underlining below. Gives it a bit of a bold pop- but then a soft finish so it works for the day.

For the lips I used a favorite of mine- a gold lipstick that is slightly sheer and more than anything gives a complimenting golden shimmer to the natural lip color. The make-up I use is Guerlain, they have some wonderful bronzes and golds that work beautifully together.

I love a little gold indulgence. Much love.

Lovely Little Bites Of Yumminess

Alright, So I have been out of town over the weekend and naturally somehow everything in the fridge has either vanished or is on its last breath. I'm hungry and it is pouring rain outside- I'm stuck with what I have for now.

Some things have not even been in there that long- honestly it seems to happen every time we travel no matter how short or long the time. Oh well, this trip was a bit of a late notice so we did not have much time to prepare the house before leaving. Normally I time out the food to run out just in time- that way I can purchase fresh new groceries upon returning without any waste.

Okay, As I have no intention of hauling groceries in the pouring rain... I need a snack to keep me happy in the meantime. My options which are left in the house are:

About a pound of gruyere cheese, Some (not a lot of) spinach, garlic, butter, and some cherries that may have a little life in them yet- we will see. Also, there is the tiniest bit of goat cheese left.

In the pantry there isn't much, only thing I could really recover or use is a box of the Honey Butter Ritz Crackers (pretty yummy actually, they'll do in a pinch any day).

Well, cheese and crackers are lovely on their own, but I need a bit more than that right now. I sautéed what was left of the spinach with the garlic and butter. A piece of Gruyere cheese and spoon of spinach on a cracker and it turns out to be quite the lovely treat! I repeat the process for as many as I am able to make and I must say I am quite satisfied for the moment. It will make the grocery visit a much smoother one.

What a lovely surprise- it is something I will actually repeat even when fully stocked with food. It doesn't really need anything else to it, and the presentation is simple and quite nice.

Hmm.. those cherries are tempting, may go quite pretty with the goat cheese. The honey butter Ritz cracker tends to be a bit sweeter and would compliment it well. We'll see how daring I am feeling. If anything, I'll get some more once the rain lets up.

Flirtatious French Martini Madness

The little taste of chambord from my Kir Royal has left me with a curious craving for more. What better way than in another delightful drink of choice- the French Martini.

Now, this one is a bit more tropical and thus a playful and fun drink (and far different from the sophisticated simplicity of the Kir Royal). Ingredients are few and simple- vodka, pineapple juice, and chambord. The pineapple definitely adds that tropical value, and the chambord sweetens the deal beautifully.

I have seen the drink as a French Cosmo as well- and you can really play it up as much as you want to. For me, simple is best and divine.

A little twist and playfulness is always fun though- and this drink delivers it just right.

Glamorous New Looking Dress Sleeves

I love it when a simple dress has just one distinct creative uniqueness that redefines the whole look. That is exactly what this dress is.

The sleeves are sequined and slightly puffed- then tighter around the arm- except unlike traditional puffed sleeves this one has revealing cut outs that are incredibly glamorous.

Everything else about the dress is subtle and simple- complimenting the sleeve design perfectly. It has the popping wow factor while flawlessly transitioning into sophistication.

I found it in this little Japanese Boutique called "Nonno" where the offer only two or three of each dress at the most. All clothing items are uniquely one of a kind- such a treasure, so long as you are there before it is gone. I'll show you more unbelievably fun designs from them soon, too.

As for this particular dress- it has inspired me to find more of the same. Maybe not all in dress formats- how cute would a puffed open sleeve be on a white cashmere top (maybe some silver or gold jewel embelishment) and with khaki shorts?

Or any other style of garment for that matter. I want to see more of it. This is a trend I can really enjoy.

Twenty Bottles By Two People In Less Than 15 Minutes

Oh you heard it correctly; last night my Fiance and I stumbled into quite the surprise- no to mention unimaginable find.

We actually went to the grocery for a bottle of wine (we had plans to meet with some friends for a drink later that evening). Little did we know at that very moment they were setting up a wine closeout like never before. I like this particular grocery for their selection- their wine steward has an excellent taste and presents a fine selection that competes with shops many times their size. Wow, oh my head this closeout.

Bottles were marked down at half price, and then marked down an additional half price. We purchased three bottles of Conundrum ($30.00) for only $9.00 a bottle. I love to try new wines and this is definitely the opportunity and way to do it.

Some we knew we liked (such as the Kim Crawford, Conundrum, and Groth) and others we knew we liked other varietals from their vineyards and were curious to try others by them- and with these prices it was impossible to pass up. There were some great French wines I have been curious to try as well that were included in the close out, a white Bordeaux among them. Pinot Noir is a favorite of ours and so we purchased some new selections to taste as well.

Oh, here's a kicker.. when you purchase six bottles (even with the close out) you receive an additional 10% off. Even more enticing to purchase more wine.

The Wine Steward was of great assistance, too- she liked many of the same wines we did and gave us some great recommendations of what to try next. There is so much here I am not quite sure where to start!

Needless to say, there will be some tasting notes posted as I do.

Because Who Doesn't Love Champagne

I love the bubbly, and the Veuve Clicquot is certainly one of my favorites. I would drink it all the time when out and about at night in Miami, not to mention at home as well.

I have Veuve on my mind and a bottle being chilled. Mmm... I love it on its own as a toast to... simply having it or me- who honestly needs an excuse? It is something I like to enjoy for the sake of enjoying. And the Veuve Clicquot Rose is especially special.

Although creating an occasion is always just as delightful.

Marlene Dietrich had it right- and I like to follow in her example on the subject. One of her favorite meals was:

hot dogs and champagne

I LOVE it- simply marvelous.

And that is just it, too- you make it marvelous. And no judgment or false snobbery- it is all about finding what you like and embracing it.

Who cares what other people think? We all have our own tastes. Certainly there are rules to abide but with in those rules are so many possibilities for creativity and uniqueness. Make it your own and make it Glamorous.

Nails That Bark, Too?

Little addition to the Purring Snowy Nails post; I just returned from a dentist appointment (lovely, I know). And the assistant loved my nails- calling them "Dalmatian Spots."

I love it- never would have thought of it on my own, but they definitely can go that way, especially with the bigger black spots I had accidentally made. I like it even more.

So there you are puppy lovers- a little bark and bite to your fashion. Some puppy love!

Bombshell Beauty

Snowy Nails That Purr, Too

This kitty is always purring; its the fashion love that keeps me going. Okay, so last time I did this look on a natural base coat. This time I decided to explore a little further on it with a snow leopard as my muse.

I used a a rather subtle base coat, close to a taupe and just shades darker than my skin tone (enough for it to be noticed, but not so much that it took over).

A few selected white spots and a touch of black- ready to go again; quite simple and delightfully playful.

I accidentally made some of the black spots a bit bigger on my right hand (bound to happen) but looking at it I think I rather like it better. From a distance it pops more.

Fine by me, I am not about to argue such an accident !

This look would work with the white as a base, too- but that would be more like the original only with a bit more pop. This one I wanted to do a bit differently but still keep in theme.

My nails are getting a bit longer-I painted the backs (what little is there) with some red but its hardly noticeable and just not ready yet.

Ah well, another time then. So in between these trials was another version/variation I attempted and really enjoyed as well. A bit more sultry.

Cheesecake For The Chic

I love cheesecake, and I like my cheesecake to taste like cheesecake- not ruined with so many unnecessary ingredients and flavors that the taste and texture are gone. On that note- New York style has always been the one for me.

If I want chocolate, I will go for a chocolate cake or brownie or other chocolate welcoming dessert. If I want strawberries or blueberries I will then look for a tart or shortcake or other fruit friendly dessert. But when I want cheesecake- I want the quality to hold up to its name.

Don't get me wrong-I like a flavored cheesecake from time to time, but only few have worked (consistently, one in a million doesn't do it for me).

Pumpkin cheesecake is a whole other animal- and I do love it. The cinnamon and nutmeg are strong overpowering flavors, but it is one I don't mind for this dessert. Mostly because the texture holds well to it and compliments it as a whole.

Key Lime I adore in most anything, and cheesecake is no exception. I am speaking of course of the true key lime, none of this neon ill colored green foolishness. Please, who keeps allowing this nonsense! Lemon works well, too. Its subtle and gives a lovely tartness-cheesecake should never be overly sweet.

Honey, Lemon Curd, Creme Fraiche, Mascarpone, and Vanilla Bean are friendly ingredients that I think will still stand to this dessert. But never multiples or over mixed combinations- simple is best. Epicurious.com has some simple recipies.

If you ever come across it or get the chance, my favorite of all favorites is an Alsace Farm Cheesecake- Oh yum! The cheese from Alsace has a distinctive taste that is so divine and delicious in this dessert.

Braid Me Beautiful & Adorable

I adore playing with my hair and experminting with new and intersting styles. Some traditional and some with a twist.

Above is a side swept braid- slightly messy but controlled and pretty. I like to close the braid with a cute hair band or bow- but other times I like to wrap a piece of the remaining hair around the band for that natural flawless and clean look.

Another variation I like to do isn't a braid at all- they are little balls of hair segmented and tied. I like to wear mine on the side, though letting it rest straight back is just as fine (very much like Jasmine from Aladdin).

Now, the adorable!

This is one I like to do when I am feeling a bit playful- kind of like little puppy ears if you think about it. Very simple to do and definitely gets a response.

I love it, I think it's cute. It certainly brightens up any boring day of chores or errands. Its hard not to smile when you hair is this cute.

That's right- she has her eyes on you.. or Rather, she's on your eyes. Hmm.. I don't know about this one, I am going to have to pass and say: No.

Hello Kitty is everywhere, and I am okay in small doses- very small doses where it is unique in its surrounding (and not the actual surrounding itself).

The adorable kitty has its place with accessories and small children. The occasional piece of stationery, charm, or jewelry item in fashion I am also quite fine with and admit some involvement, myself. But when I do it is subtle and in good taste (as would any other character of such style would be).

Toasters, Ovens, Televisions, Cell Phones, and everything you can imagine- is too much for me. Its not special anymore- its overdone and abused in that state.

The contacts are a bit creepy- and unfortunately for the wearer no one can tell what it is. Only someone gazing into your eyes for a long enough period of time "might" recognize it- and let's hope you don't wish this of the common stranger you pass by. Ick on all accounts.

Hello Kitty isn't completely dead. There are still the occasional cute surprises. I'm all for this adorable contact case (and its mostly just for you, not the public eye which I like even better). It is subtle and cute and great for travel. Easy to tell which case is yours when with others, too.

Let's keep the volume down with this craze, or it will lose its value completely if it hasn't already. It still has a place with me, but I must admit it has diminished from what it once was. I've always preferred chococat and the others anyway.

Another Glamorous Beauty Of Belle Glos

Belle Glos and Pinot Noir are synonymous with delicious and glamor. You know you are in great hands and know the wine will be grand. The Taylor Lane Vineyard Pinot Noir is among the best in their collection.

Pretty much, when you see the wax dipped bottle- buy it. Don't even look, just take it home and enjoy it for you are certain to have found a treasure.

Normally this dark burgundy color is what you should seek- and do seek it, but keep in mind the Pinot Noir Blanc Rose with its bright and pink wax color.

If for some strange reason you have yet to seek that one, you are truly missing out. And don't let false snobbery get in the way if you drink "only red wines" or whatever it might be- there is something to be captured and admired in all wines. It is just a matter of finding the right ones. Don't let one bad experience spoil a complete varietal for you. Would you do the same with food? I certainly hope not.

This Pinot Noir is everything of its namesake, and a tasting and experience will do far better than words would describe, and I will let you see for yourself. And let me know, too- I love to hear a response.

Little Bunny Fashion Find

Bunnies and kitties and puppies are delightfully cute, and speak volumes to my inner child. So when I came across this little find, I couldn't resist the chance to indulge.

It is a sweater dress that is incredibly cute and cozy. The hood has little ears attached that flop on the side-when I purchased it, it was said to be a bunny, however my friends and I argue whether it looks more lie a bunny or a puppy. Either way I am pleased with it, but I like the idea of a bunny a little better.

Anyway, I think it is fun without being too childish or what have you. Its rather subtle at first, too, since if you are not wearing the hood the ears just dangle on the back. The only clue is the little bunny/puppy cloth pin on the front pocket. You can move it wherever you like, but I think it is cute there.

I wore it out to the Grand Canyon a little while back, mind you it was unexpectedly cooler than I was prepared for, and though it is a "sweater" it is not the warmest for this cool of weather.

Being on vacation means a limited wardrobe, and so a quick trip to an inexpensive shop and thus you have the strange mix of tights and scarf (haha).

That strangeness aside- you can get a better idea of the dress. I'll be looking for more of the same, maybe a kitty next time?

Christian Dior, My Love- Thank You!

When I think of my style I describe myself as "Classic with a Modern Twist," I am quite traditional and yet at the same time adore the playful (and at times limit pushing) creations from the new designers.

Looking through the Fall 2008 Christian Dior Collection, I feel very at home with a warm and happy heart. I love it, it is simply beautiful and exactly what I love in fashion. It is everything I love of the past created NOW. Feminine, sophisticated, soft and daring at the same time... the colors are exquisite and the hats/scarves just complete the look perfectly. The silhouette is something I strive for in my outfits, I love to play with volume and keep the cinched waist at the same time. I love my legs and so I love the length of the garments with the sheer touch- covered but still flirts and reveals. Its dainty, rich, and bold all together.

Another thing I strive for is the matching shoes- I have a vast collection and am quite proud when I am able to find a shoe that matches my dress exactly. It can be an expensive habit, and when in doubt silver works beautifully with pastels- but color is so brilliantly delightful.

For too long it seems that to be daring is to dress masculine- so much so that now to be daring is to dress ultra (or even slightly) feminine and bring back the pearls, the gloves, the hats, the scarves, and all the other little things. I know I will be.

Haute Hair Luxury And Lavish Accessories

Hmm, this is one I have lost track on until just recently again. While searching for a specific item in one of my jewelry boxes I came across some of my old hair charms and accessories, and thought to myself- when was the last time I wore these?

Now, it was not that long ago.. but a while enough for me to consider bringing it back and playing around with it once again. I am not talking about headbands or bows, but rather the clips, charms, and little designs one can tie into their hair style, whether it is up or down.

It's so simple and adds such a nice and cute little touch, I think. Walking down the hair accessory isle of any shop is like being a child in a candy store- so many colors and variations to choose from.

And why not? Its all in good fun, and it isn't as though you need to wear a ton of them, even just one speaks volumes.

So let me know what you think- I think it can be a great addition into the fall. Sleek, elegantly swept hair with little sparkles of accessories to catch the eye. Definitely dresses up the little black dress and can be worn in so many different ways.

Oh Michael, I'm All Lolita Again

I love Michael Kors and his shoes are no exception. Sophisticated, elegant, and incredibly sexy- they are a must for any one. My collection grows and yet this shoe keeps calling out above the others and making itself known.

The Lolita; true it is a classic black pump- but it is so much more. The subtle and simple details (from the ever so slightly ruffled front to the bow and ribbon in the back) make it adorable, flirty, sexy, and a Bombshell Beauty shoe.

Its very cute and perfect for the transition from summer to fall; the peek-a-boo toe is a must as is. It comes in other shades as well, and the brown is quite tempting to me. This is going to be a shoe I will need to purchase a second pair of- in the same color if not multiple pairs in both colors. No matter how many new shoes I find, I cannot keep myself from bringing this one out again and again.

I am loving this shoe- and surprisingly enough, soooo comfortable- honest! That alone is worth it, but I think its cuteness speaks loudly for it.

Yummy Yummy And On The GO

So the other day I found myself in an unfamiliar part of town at an early hour of the day with an appetite. My Fiance and I had attended a meeting in this area (about an hour or so away from our home) and decided some food was now in order.

Then we saw the Super Target and couldn't resist but make a little stop. If anything we could replenish some grocery items and make something when we returned home.

Then there was the display of freshly baked and still warm bread- yes, the fogged plastic and heavenly aroma.

There was no way I was going to last until home. The lovely thing was they had a demi version of the baguette- just the right amount for the two of us and a bit easier to handle than the full sized version.

A few slices of hard salami and gruyere cheese and it was the perfect yummy meal we were looking for. I've always loved this for breakfast, but forget about it from time to time.

When I lived in Bay Harbor Islands there was a neighborhood French Bakery that actually offered it on the menu, and I would relax at a table either alone or with a friend sipping some coffee, enjoying my meal, and watching people pass by.

Now I can do the same but on the go. I usually prefer to sit and relax but sometimes things need to be done and it can be nice to have a little bite as you walk. Kind of makes me think of Breakfast At Tiffany's, and all the more reason to enjoy it.

Syrah So In Love

SO-Normally I wait and finish my glass (or bottle as it often goes) until I begin my post, but this is simply too delightful for patience.

Brian Benson has certainly impressed me and gained a far new respect-this by far is the best Syrah I have tasted, and am anxious to retrieve more of it.

It all started with my fiance and his curiosity to woot and woot wine (of all places). Wow, am I ever pleased and delighted with this find. This particular purchase offered a vertical tasting of a 2004 and a 2005, which if you have read my 'Vintage Beautiful Vintage' entry you know it is something I look for. As much as I enjoyed the 2004- and I assure you I most certainly did, the 2005 bottle has vanished faster than any bottle in our household, and believe you me that is saying something.

It is everything I love in a wine and look for in a Syrah. When a dear friend of ours who has worked harvests from South Africa to California alerted us of the beauty of this wine we knew we were in great hands. He informed us that the Denner vineyards produced the best grapes for Syrah and Brian Benson Cellars truely cared for their wines.

He must, too, beginning at such a young age he is certainly in the right place. He began his training at his Grandfather's vineyard and later his Father's winery- he learned about the process of wine making before completing elementary school.

Meow, Nails That Roar and Purr

Inspired by the Louboutin Manicure, I am not patient enough to simply wait for my nails to grow. (Nor do I wish to have acrylics at the moment).

So I decided to dabble a bit with some colors and created a design to fit my playfulness- and I am quite delighted with my results.

A clear coat to begin- a few rather large dots of a tan or copper coating, and then finished off with some well placed black dots: you have leopard print nails that roar. Kitten has been a long time nickname of mine, and so it is only appropriate to make the move.

I love it, and its really rather simple (this is my first attempt and I think it came out rather well, especially as that is my right hand pictured just above). I played around a bit with the tan and copper- I think I like the copper better as it stands out more.

The nude underneath makes it more subtle I think. Another great option would be to put a brilliant red shade as the first coat and then the spots on top of it.

A white base would be fun too- or perhaps keep the clear base and make the tan/copper spots white spots instead- for that snowy look.

Even a royal blue may be a fun base for the daring and playful, for the special occasion of course. It will look great with a cocktail, not to mention those fun cocktail rings.

I think next time I may even add a pink flirtatious flair and have pale pink spots surrounded by the little black ones.

I will have to explore the rest of the animal kingdom as well- there have been a few giraffe print shoes and handbags I have been eying and I think matching it to the nails is just the thing.

So have a little fun and expand it to your liking- or keep it simple and see the attention you receive.

Louboutin Redefines Manicures For Nails

Louboutin is constantly finding new ways to be involved in my fashion world. And this time, from an unexpected source.

Miss Zoe Pocock of the exclusive Daniel Galvin Salon in London has introduced us to the Louboutin Manicure- simple, elegant, and sultry.

Pictured here from Grazia Magazine is the classic red beneath the shoe we all adore translated to the nails by being painted underneath. The top of the nails are black to match the shoe, though truly it can be done in any color to match whichever of Christian Louboutin's shoes you may be wearing. So long as the red is in place you are ready to go.

I am anxious to try it myself, just as soon as my nails grow to a decent length again. In the meantime I am feeling quite inspired to play with some colors a bit on my own.

Kir Royal, A Luxurious Delight

I love my cocktails- I really do. One that I particularly cherish is the Kir Royal.

That bubbly black currant combination always brings a smile to my face- how can you not be happy and relaxed?

There's something delightful about having a late breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday and pairing it with this beautiful drink.

I love to sit at a French Bistro and watch the world go by, nibbling on some rich appetizers and sipping my Kir Royal.

Its lovely in the evenings, too- of course. Any beverage is, but there is just something special about it in the day that I cannot help but indulge in.

Garnished as you like, though little is needed for this delightful drink. Who needs an excuse to enjoy a little champagne anyway? Make your own little celebration for your pretty self.

Glamorous Gourmet Bites At Home

Devilishly delicious and oh so simple to prepare-I love to incorporate it in any of my meals. Phyllo Dough or Puff Pastry Dough ads the extra bit of glamor to any bite you may desire.

I've made it on my own many times though I must say there is nothing wrong with the store bought- its prepared and ready and simple to use, not to mention less time consuming.

It is so easy to use that shapes and designs are simple and the results are lavish-you'll look like a master of special reserved skill. Also its fun to let your creativity roam and be admired as well as enjoyed.

I adore to make my pizzas with phyllo dough- it ads that buttery crisp flakey balance to the creamy rich cheese. I tend to use goat cheese and gruyere on mine- topped with fresh tomatoes, pancetta and basil leaves. Yum.

On a day to day basis, I cannot help but prepare my favorite- a spinach pouchette. I keep it simple with spinach, gruyere, and garlic. Simple, easy, quick- and so wonderful.

The variations are endless and delicious. Experiment with the different styles, too- whether it is flat, in a triangle, rolled up, in a pouch, or in a creation of your own.

Dessert is just as easy as well-and as sweet as you care to make it

A Rose Tres Tres Belle of Pinot

Lovely, beautiful, and incredibly scrumptious. I dare you to find something as divine; this is truly a gem to be treasured and enjoyed. I adore pinot noir and my love only grows stronger here.

Don't let its adorable color frighten you- it is like no other blanc you may have had before. It has the character and taste of Pinot Noir with that Je Ne Sais Quoi that will keep you happily returning for more. Its priced at about $25 which is perfect, the most delicious pinots are usually priced above $20. Below that price point it becomes a bit of a miss for the most part in my experience, and I much prefer to enjoy my beverages.

Belle Glos Pinot Noir Blanc Rose is a must- MUST, must must must have. It honestly is that many musts.

Look for the wax dipped bottle or simply the pink gleaming in the light, and purchase a bottle (or two I would recommend) to share with friends and loved ones.

This is a dear treat I enjoy for myself or for friends- I love watching their reaction as they taste it for the first time. It is an instant love affair.

Beauty In The Mud

When it comes to luxury and gorgeous skin, I find when a little pampering at home is involved- it is truly never a bad thing. Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body is just the thing. Now, I've been using this particular product for years and have enjoyed the many rewards. Its not just the nutrients and cleansing that I love though- its the feeling experienced from usage. What I mean is taking the time to just relax and take care of the little details and melt away any horrors or stresses of the day.

There is something magical for me when I have relaxed with the mask (if only for a few moments) and then remove it with a wet towel or sponge- Instant Reviving my skin and my mood. It is like starting over every time- that feeling of ultra clean and something of royalty. Its beautiful.

About once every two weeks for my face has become my routine, and as I said previously for many years now with much reward. My skin is healthy, radiant, and glowing. Very nice save for the mornings when I must get up and go on an unexpected dash-little to no make up looks fine. More so, I feel great and that is really what counts.

Once a month or so I like to take a leisurely bath and reward the rest of my body with a little mud mask. There's nothing like taking the time for yourself and for your skin.

The best part is your skin thanks you the rest of your week with a radiant healthy glow.

Do be warned though, a first time use can be a bit tingly as its rids of all the junk buried deep beneath. Afterwards you are great to go though and the experience can be much more enjoyed. Results are pretty instant but continued use for maintaining is recommended.

Never over do it, as with any product. Your skin needs time to create more dead cells and 'trash' for you to take away, if its done too often you may be taking more good than bad- after all you want to keep your skin in tact!

Balance is key. Drink plenty of water to rid the toxins and nourish the skin within.

Dark Knight Continues To Rise

Wow, wow. No spoilers are given if you are among those who have yet to see this gem. Be assured, you will not be dissapointed.

Dark, creepy and dirty the way I love it- no unnecessary dramas or cringing corny lines. Even the pictures I had seen prior to the film were new again when presented (context and watching things in action redefines them all and makes them so much more powerful).

As for the Joker, I could have not been more pleased with how Mr. Heath Ledger played the role- an absolute psychopathic killer and not the hum drum jester.

What appealed to me the most was how it was portrayed so real. The characters weren't fantastic superhero cartoons, moreover they were carried out and reacted to as actual people behaving out in society.

For the man of his society to become the joker or the batman is what you see, not the man in tights dancing about and calling out lines. The city's involvement and responses, too, further the reality of how such a spectacle would be applied to life. It is crime in the real sense, not of childish antics. The people's fear is real and treated as real in their situation.

Harvey Dent's character grows in the film, as any Batman Admirer would know or expect. Also not to disappoint I will leave my words of him there. Please note, you will not be disappointed here either.

Another viewing is in order for me, and I will also be seeing the film on IMAX. I am quite curious to see it from such a view. If you have yet to see it- WATCH IT though I am sure you certainly are; if you have already seen it, I would encourage you to watch it again, though you probably are.

Chateau Richard Bergerac Wine

Organically farmed and certified by ECOCERT, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to taste the Chateau Richard Beragerac Wine. Presented in a half bottle it has an appealing charm and comes with a pleasant reward.

Bergerac itself is a town in France East of Bordeaux and in the Dordogne departement. Its location at the Dordogne river offers excellence in its grapes and wines that are well known as among the best of the Bordeaux region. The Red wines of Bergerac are best for tasting when aged from 2-4 years, which makes the 2005 just right. Full of fruity flavor- particularly black cherry and plum and some hints of vanilla, it has a nice balance to the tannins and acidity of the wine.

Many times half bottles can be quite alarming with their price tags, though this one I found more welcoming at $15. Its a reasonable jump if its your first and you will not be disappointed.

Trying wines (both familiar of names and those perhaps strange at first) and finding what you like is what it is all about- and you do not know until you try.

Classic And Timeless Or "IT" Accessories

The Kelly, Hermes did it well and so the name is forever spoken with an immediate reaction of fashion awe. Chanel's classic quilt design in its subtly and quality still brings a warm smile to my face. They are classics that will last a lifetime.

Zac Posen is constantly revealing beautiful and sophisticated designs that capture what we love of the past and bring it to a modern state with designs that reach us now. His Beatrice Bag pictured here is one I admire greatly. Its size shape and color are simple and beautiful to create a wonderful masterpiece.

When it comes closer to the it and now you see one of two things- either something comfortable and large with warm colors or something structured and bright with bold playful colors. Chloe's designs are very comforting and warm, I always think of billowing dresses and the care-free attitude. Its appeal is functional as well and is a trend that runs long into the future. Its perfect or spring and for anyone one the go with much to tote around.

Marc Jacobs has fun and playful pretty colors that I cannot help but love. With fun classic shapes to more modern structured designs. His purse here just makes you instantly feel pretty and makes me want to throw a tea party. I love it.

Almost everyone makes their statement piece- whether its the Motorcycle Balenciaga Bag, The Ivory Horn or Muse YSL Bag, or what have you- its about finding something that speaks to you that you will love, use, and enjoy.

Have as many as you like; some comfortable ones to change out depending on circumstances, but I think it is important for everyone to have at least one bag that just makes them beam. One that makes them feel grand no matter what the day brings. Its costs can be high and vary from bag to bag- but that's what makes it so grand, too. Have a success- achieve a goal and reward yourself. The bag will remind you of your success each time you wear it (and hopefully motivate you to do more of the same).

Vince Camuto Beauty In Shoes

It is pretty well known that my love of shoes is a grand love. I am always looking for something that has that classic yet playful twist that can be worn casually with that touch of sophisticated elegance.

Vince Camuto nearly always performs, and at a lovely price range as well (many at about or just under $150). My first pair from him I purchased years ago, with many raving reviews as I walked about town, and only wished I had purchased two. Everyone always would stop and demand to know where I had found them, and at the time it was quite difficult for me to find as it was.

The collection has grown and can quite commonly be found in most department stores. This particular pair pictured on top is the Veronica in Camel (though it also comes in gray/black). I adore the feeling of a new shoe.

On the right is another from Vince Camuto in a more Oxford Style though it has the playful peekaboo toe. Being sophisticated can still be playful, its not all cold, serious and hum drum.

Though the collection has a vast range, there are definitely a select few signature pieces that stand out and just looking to be known. What’s even more beautiful is the comfortable price tag of such a well designed and expensive looking shoe at a reasonable cost. It isn’t so cheap that you feel you are losing on value of quality, and not so expensive that you feel guilty for rewarding yourself with such a treat.

The Instinct, Samsung's Newest Beauty

Adore it, adore it, adore it. I was anxious for the phone to arrive and now that it has- it is grander than I imagined or could have hoped for.

I’ve been playing with it now for a few days (since the Thursday just before it was released), and am simply delighted with the Instinct. It works quickly and smoothly, very easy to handle and adjustable touch sensitivity settings. The GPS works so wonderfully that I returned my tomtom device- I truly think something was wrong with at least the one I had purchased. The instinct’s GPS does everything I need it to, and as an added bonus speaks the street names to you.

Internet is great, not to mention much faster than the edge network. Sprint always has had the fastest network, and it is nice to see it in well use. It notifies me of my emails along with my missed calls and other messages. The controls are simple and make it easier to navigate throughout the screen.

Now, on mine I have added a pink rubber cover for protection and for a bit of a better grip. The phone itself is very slender and a comfortable size. In my home, our black granite counter tops and nearly black wood furniture make for a quick disappearing act for any blending object- so for me it serves an extra purpose. The phone does actually comes with a black leather case which is fitted nicely and easy to use.

One of the nicest features is quite understated though: visual voicemail. What that means is you can see who called, choose what order you wish to listen to your messages- skip some entirely, pause, rewind and fast forward, or save it for later use. All done simply by the touch of the screen.

Now, it is not a smart phone so the techies may complain a bit, but its not for them. Its for everyone and its fun and functional. I am finding it to be just the luxury item I needed- not to mention making everything simpler and more enjoyable as well.
